KSS Servo Motor Mounting

Servo motors are mounted to KSS gearheads by using

a motor adapter with a Rotex® coupling. This adapter

requires no key but uses a fricon locking split collet

to clamp the sha. A split bushing is included when

the motor sha is smaller than the input bore in the

gearhead. The coupling operates free of backlash and,

if installed correctly, requires no maintenance.

Carefully slide the coupling onto the motor sha up

to the sha shoulder.

To prevent pre-load on the bearings, ensure a gap of 2

mm between the two distances.

Step 2 Tighten the screws.

Use a torque wrench to ghten the

screws to the recommended torque,

shown in Table 1.
