Retrotec Blower Door Fan systems create airow over a very wide range. The Open Range yields the most ow, but as fan
speed is decreased the fan pressure drops too low to be accurately measured. Range Rings and Plates can then be installed
to restrict the fan inlet, forcing the fan speed to be increased to maintain the required ow and increase the fan pressure.
Use the Range Congurations shown below to optimize the fan pressure readings.
If you cannot achieve the desired building pressure, use a more open range.
If your gauge says “TOO LOW”, change to more restrictive range.
Large ow ranges for large and leaky buildings
There are three high ow Range options:
Open(22) Range

Range A

Range B

Mid ow Ranges for average to tight buildings and enclosures
To reduce or restrict the ow: attach the magnetic C8 Plate over top of the A&B Rings.
