DCVOLTAGEMEASUREMENTS
CAUTION: Do not measure DC voltages if a motor on the circuit is being switched ON or OFF. Large
voltagesurgesmayoccurthatcandamagethemeter.
1. SetthefunctionswitchtotheV position.
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the negative
COM jack. Insert the red test lead banana plug into the
positiveVjack.
3. Touch theblack test probe tip tothe negative side of the
circuit.
4. Touch
the red test probe tip to the positive side of the
circuit.
5. Readthevoltageinthedisplay.

7. Touchtheblacktestprobetiptotheneutralsideofthecircuit.Touchtheredtest
probetiptothe“hot”sideofthe
circuit.
8. Applypowertothecircuit.
9. Readthecurrentinthedisplay.

1. SetthefunctionswitchtotheΩCAPposition.
2. Inserttheblacktestleadbananaplugintothenegative
COMjack.
3. InserttheredtestleadbananaplugintothepositiveΩjack
4. Touchthetestprobetipsacrossthecircuitorpartunder
test.Itis
besttodisconnectonesideofthepartundertest
sotherestofthecircuitwillnotinterferewiththe
resistancereading.
5. Readtheresistanceinthedisplay.
