Operation

TheLineSplitterprovidesameanstocleanly“open”astandard120VAClinecordinorderto

makeclamptypecurrentmeasurements.Whenconnectedbetweenthe120VACwalloutlet

andthedeviceundertest,aclampmetercanthenbeclampedaroundoneofthetwotest

openingsintheSplitter.Oneopeningprovidesaone‐to‐onecurrentreadingandtheother

providesatimes‐ten(X10)readingsothatsmallcurrentwilldisplaywithbetterresolutionona

clampmeter.



3. ClosetheClamp‐onjawsaroundeithertheX1orX10armoftheACLineSplitter

4. IftheX1positionisused,readthecurrentdirectlyonthemeter

5. IftheX10positionisused,dividethemeterreadingby10toobtaintheactualcurrent

2. InsertthemultimetertestleadsintothetwoVoltageTestjacks

3. Readthevoltageonthemultimeter.
