Stainless Sink Installation Guide
1. UNPACKING AND INSPECTION
Unpack the new sink and check the contents of the materials supplied: (1) Sink, (10) Mounting
brackets, (1) Cut-out template.
2. CHOOSE AN INSTALL METHOD
Supplied with each Zero Edge and Stratus Sink is a cut-out template. This template offers three
mounting installation options:
3. APPLY YOUR TEMPLATE
Place the supplied cut-out template in the desired position on the countertop, allowing extra
space for faucet holes and optional fixtures
4. CUT OUT YOUR TEMPLATE
Trace the outline of the template onto the countertop along the inside of the line you have
designated as your install method. Then cut the countertop on the traced line with an
appropriate cutting device. Please note that the supplied template is to be used as a guide only.
Use the physical sink to ensure your cut-out opening is accurate.
5. DRILL HOLES
Locate and drill holes on the underside of the countertop, approximately 1” from the edge of
the sink to be installed. Holes should be evenly spaced approximately 6” to 8” apart starting
from every corner as shown in Figure 4. It is recommended to install a faucet at this point before
installing the sink. Please Note: Some surfacing products may require the use of additional
build up blocks.
6. APPLY MOUNTING BRACKETS
Using the supplied mounting screws and butterfly nuts, loosely attach the mounting brackets to
the countertop, parallel to the cut-out opening. Please note that the type of brackets and
fasteners used will vary depending upon the countertop material the sink is installed on. A
professional fabricator can determine what brackets and fasteners are right for the install.
7. Clean both the sink flange and underside of the cut-out area of the countertop, making sure that
the surface is smooth and clean. Apply a continuous bead of silicone caulk evenly on top of the
sink flange. (Figure 5)
8. ALIGN SIN
Position and align the sink over the countertop opening and press the sink onto the countertop.
Turn the bent end of the mounting bracket to snug over the sink rim. (Figure 6)
9. DOUBLE CHECK & FINISH
Check alignment of the sink again and tighten fasteners to completely secure the sink. Wipe
away excess silicone caulk with a damp cloth. Connect the drain and water supply according to
the manufacturer’s instructions.
