Thisfunctionisusedtoadjustthebrightnessofthescreen.
1. When the SETUP menu screen is displayed on the screen, position the cursor to point to
LENSusingtheUpandDownbuttons.
2.SelectthetypeoflensusingtheLeftandRightbuttons.
DC:
SelectAutoIrisLens
When DC is selected, you can control screen brightness. The range of brightness control is
between1and70(40 incaseofWDRmode).Adjustthebrightnessappropriatelyforoptimal
screenbrightness.
NOTE:
Somelensesmaynotworkproperly,dependingonthesettingsfor
theBRIGHTNESSLEVEL.
WhenUsingaVideoTypeAutoIrisLens
CheckthattheALCadjustmentonthelensisappropriate.Ingeneral,setittoAV(Average).
Itmaynotworkproperlydependingontheinstalledlens.SettheLevelVRofthelenstothe
optimalvalue.
SetAGC/SENSUPtoOFFandadjusttheLensVRtoanappropriatebrightness.
Adjust the Lens VR, adjust the BRIGHTNESS, and then check if the screen brightness
changesproperly.Otherwise,adjusttheLensVRagain.

1.WhentheSETUPmenuscreenisdisplayedselectEXPOSUREusingtheUpandDownbuttons.
2.SelectthedesiredmodeusingtheLeftandRightbuttons.
SHUTTER:Selecteitherautoormanualshutter.
‐A.FLK:Selectthiswhenpictureflickerisexperienced,whichcanhappenwhen
thereisacl ash
withthefrequencyoftheinstalledlighting.
‐ ESC : Select this to control the shutter speed automatically. If ESC is selected, the shutter
speedisautomaticallycontrolledaccordingtotheambientilluminationavailable.
‐MANUAL:Theshutterspeediscontrolledmanually.
NOTE:
To
producebetterresultswithA.FLK,donotuseitinconjunctionwiththeWDRmodeonthe
BACKLIGHTmenu.
When the SHUTTER is set to ESC, and the camera is set to Internal Synchronization, the
picture may become unstable if the camera faces a bright fluorescent light. Therefore, take
carewhenchoosingtheinstallationposition.
ESCandMANUALmodesareonlyavailabletogetherwhen thelensissettoMANUAL.
WhentheSHUTTERissettoMANUALorA.FLKmode,SENSUPisdisabled.
AGC(AUTOGAINCONTROL):
Thehigherthegainlevel,thebrighterthescreen
‐butthehigherthenoise.
‐OFF:DeactivatestheAGCfunction.
‐LOW:Allowsautomaticgaincontrolfrom0to24dB.
‐HIGH:Allowsautomaticgaincontrol from0to42dB.

SENSUP:
Whenitisnightordark,thecameraautomaticallydetectsthelightlevelandmaintainsaclear
pictureifthismodeisa ctivated.
‐OFF:DeactivatestheSENSUPfunction.
‐AUTO:ActivatestheSENSUPfunction.
RETURN:
Selectthistosave
thechangesintheEXPOSUREmenuandreturntotheSETUPmenu.
NOTE:
If you press the SET button in 'AUTO' mode, You can adjust brightness by increasing or
decreasingtheshutterspeed.(X2~X256)
Notethatthehigherthezoom level,thebrighterthescreen,butthemore
likelyitisthatan
afterimagewillappear.
Although Noise, Spots, and Whitish symptoms may occur in SENSUP operation when the
zoomlevelisincreased,thisisnormal.

UsetheWhiteBalancefunctiontoadjustthescreencolors.
1.Position the cursor to point to WHITEBAL on the SETUP menu screen,select using the Up
andDownbuttons.
2.SelectadesiredmodeusingtheUpandDownbuttons.
Selectoneofthefollowing5modes,as
appropriate.
ATW:Selectwhenthecolortemperatureisbetween1800°Kand10500°K
INDOOR:Selectwhenthecolortemperatureisbetween4500°Kand8500°K
OUTDOOR : Select when the color temperature is between 1 800°K and 10500°K. (sodium
lightinclusion)
AWC SET : To obtain the
optimum state under the current luminance levels, direct the
camerato point towarda sheetof whitepaperandpresstheSETbutton. If theenvironment
changes,includingthelightsource,thewhitebalancewillrequirereadjustment.
MANUAL : Select to "finetune" the White Balance manually. Set White
Balance first using
theATWorAWCmode.AfterwardsswitchtoMANUALmode,finetunetheWhiteBalancean d
thenpresstheSETbutton.
NOTE:
Under the following conditions White Balancemaynotwork properly. In suchcases, select
theAWCmode.
Whenthecolortemperature
ofthesubjectenvironmenthasaveryhigh temperaturerange
(e.g.Clearskyorsunset)
Whentheambientillumination ofthesubjectislow.
If the camera is directed toward a fluorescent light, or is installed in a place where
illuminationchangesdramatically,theWhiteBalanceoperationmaybecomeunstable.

Thiscameraisdesignedtodeliveraclearanddistinct imageofbothsubjectandbackground,
evenwhenthesubjectisbacklit.
1. Position the cursor to point to BACKLIGHT on the SETUP menu screen using the Up and
Downbuttons.
2.SelectthedesiredmodeusingtheLeftandRightbuttons.
WDR:Whentheimagehassimultaneousbrightanddarkareas,the
WideDynamicRangemakesbothareasdistinct.
OFF:DeactivatestheWDRfunction.
BLC:Enablestheusertodirectlyselectanareaof
apicturetoactivateandcontrol.
HLC(HighLightCompensation):
Ifthereisahighlightinstalled inalimitedenvironmentsuchasanapartment parkinggarage
or gas station entrance, removing the high light makes it possible to view car license plates
efficiently.
‐DAY:Innormal
daylightconditions,theHLCisnotactivated.
‐NIGHT:Ifa highlightthat islarger thana certainsizeispresenton thescreen, removethe
highlighttoseelicenseplatesclearly.

3.SelectthedesiredmodeusingtheLeftandRightbuttonsandpresstheSETbutton.
NOTE:
The WDR cannot be used when MANUAL mode or A.FLK mode in the 'SHUTTER' menu is
selected.
IfthefollowingsymptomsoccurwhenWDRisselected,deactivateit.
Colorofscreenchangesunnaturally.
Noiseappearsinthebrightestpartofthescreen.
As the performance of the WDR function can be affected by an area of brightness on the
image,optimizetheinstallationangletoeliminateanybrightspotsforthebestperformance.
IfLIMIT
isincreased,theimagemaybecomedistorted.
ForthebestWDRperformanceuseaDCIrisLensratherthanaManualLens.
Select 'WDR' to adjust the WDR
LIMIT. Select LOW, MIDDLE, or
HIGH.
Select 'BLC' to adjust the area to be
enhancedbytheWDRfunction.

Thisfunctionreducesthebackgroundnoiseinalowluminanceenvironment.
1. WhentheSETUPmenuscreenisdisplayed,select'DNR'usingtheUpandDownbuttons.
2.SelectadesiredmodeusingtheLeftandRightbuttons.
OFF:DeactivatesDNR.Noiseisnotreduced.
ON:Activates
DNRsothatnoiseisreduced.
3.SettheDNRmod e to'ON'andpresstheSETbutton.Thenoisereductionlevelcan nowbe
adjusted.
NOTE:
YoucannotsettheDNRto'ON'or'OFF'whentheAGCmodeintheEXPOSUREmenuis'OFF'.
WhenadjustingthenoisereductionlevelinDNRmode,rememberthatthehigherthelevelis
set,thegreaterthereductioninnoiselevel,butitalsoincreasesthepossibilityofghosting.

1. When the SETUP menu screen is displayed, select 'DAY/NIGHT' using the Up and Down
buttons.

COLOR:Thepictureisdisplayedincolor.
B/W:
Thepictureisalwaysdisplayedinblackandwhite.
AUTO:ThiscamerahasanIRCutFilterandautomaticallychangestotheappropriatemode
according to lighting levels. To set up the switching time and switching speed for the AUTO
modepresstheSETbutton.
EXTERN:
Thismodeallowstheapplicationofafiltertoexternalsignals.

SHARPNESS:Asthisvalueisincreasedthepictureoutlinebecomesstrongerandclearer.

button.Repeatthisactiontoentermultiplecharacters.Upto15alphanumericcharacterscan

If the cursor is moved to CLR and the SET
button pressed, allletters are deleted. To edit a
letter,changethecursortothebottomleftarrowandpresstheSETbutton.Movethecursor
over the letter to be edited, move the cursor to the letter to be inserted and then press the
SETbutton.

on the screen. Select the position to display the title on the screen using the 4 directional
