PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully remove your heater from the box.
(Pleasesavethecartonforoff-seasonstorage.)
2. MakesuretheunitisintheOFFpositionbefore
pluggingtheheaterintotheoutlet.
3. Place heater on firm level surface.
4. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other
highwattageappliancesinthesameoutlet.At1500
Watts,thisunitdraws12.5Amps.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Forheateroperation,pleasesettheThermostatall
thewaytoHI(seeFigure1).
2. TurntheSelectorControltodesiredheatsetting
(highis1500wattslowis900watts)(seeFigure1).
3. ThePowerLightwillremainlitduringoperation,
untiltheunitisunplugged.
THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS
Setting the Thermostat
1. Priortosettingthethermostat,steps1&2ofthe
OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSmustbecompletedtoallow
theheatertooperateandwarmuptheroom/area.
2. Whenthedesiredtemperature/comfortlevelis
reached,lowerthethermostatsettinguntilthefan/
heaterstopsoperating.
3. ThePowerLightwillremainlitwhenthepre-set
temperatureisreachedandwhentheunitisturned
off.
4. Thecontrolwillnowautomaticallymaintainthepre-
settemperaturelevelbyturningtheheaterONand
OFF.Thethermostatisnowset.
NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it
maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from
cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
During Season Care:
1. Alwaysunplugtheheaterbeforecleaningandallow
to cool.
2. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a
mildsoapsolution.
3. NEVERuseabrasiveorflammablesolventstoclean
the unit.
4. Aftercleaning,besuretocompletelydrytheunit
with a cloth or towel.
Whenusingelectricalappliances,basicsafetyprecautions
shouldalwaysbefollowedtoreducetheriskoffire,electric
shock,andinjurytopersons,includingthefollowing:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. Thisheaterishotwheninuse.Toavoidburns,do
notletbareskintouchhotsurfaces.Ifprovided,
usehandleswhenmovingthisheater.Keep
combustiblematerials,suchasfurniture,pillows,
bedding,papers,clothes,andcurtainsatleast3
feet(0.9m)fromthefrontoftheheaterandkeep
them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extremecautionisnecessarywhenanyheateris
used by or near children or invalids and whenever
theheaterisleftoperatingandunattended.
4. Alwaysunplugheaterwhennotinuse.
5. Donotoperateanyheaterwithadamagedcord
orplugoraftertheheatermalfunctions,hasbeen
droppedordamagedinanymanner.Discard
heater,orreturntoauthorizedservicefacilityfor
examinationand/orrepair.
6. Donotuseoutdoors.
7. Thisheaterisnotintendedforuseinbathrooms,
laundryareasandsimilarindoorlocations.Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. Donotruncordundercarpeting.Donotcovercord
with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.
Donotroutecordunderfurnitureorappliances.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it
willnotbetrippedover.
9. Todisconnectheater,turncontrolstooff,then
removeplugfromoutlet.
10.Donotinsertorallowforeignobjectstoenterany
ventilationorexhaustopeningasthismaycause
anelectricshockorfire,ordamagetheheater.
11. Topreventapossiblefire,donotblockairintakesor
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces,
likeabed,whereopeningsmaybecomeblocked.
12.Aheaterhashotandarcingorsparkingparts
inside.Donotuseitinareaswheregasoline,paint,
or flammable liquids are used or stored.
13.Usethisheateronlyasdescribedinthis
manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturermaycausefire,electricshock,or
injurytopersons.
14.Alwaysplugheatersdirectlyintoawalloutlet/
receptacle.Neverusewithanextensioncordor
relocatablepowertap(outlet/powerstrip).
15.Whenunplugging,besuretopullbytheplugand
not the cord.
16.Iftheheaterwillnotoperate,seespecific
instructionsonAutoSafetyShut-off.
17. DONOTattempttorepairoradjustanyelectrical
or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will
voidyourwarranty.Theinsideoftheunitcontains
nouserserviceableparts.Allservicingshouldbe
performedbyqualifiedpersonnelonly.
18.Discontinueuseifplugoroutletishot.Itis
recommendedthattheoutletbereplacedifplugor
outlet is hot to touch.
19.Theheatermustnotbelocatedimmediatelybelow
asocket-outlet.Donotusethisheaterinthe
immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimmingpool.
20.Donotusewithwirelessplugadapteroroutletthat
allows control remotely.

AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF WITH CERAMIC
CONTROL
Thisheaterisequippedwithasafetysystemthatrequires
theusertoresettheheaterifthereisapotentialoverheat
situation.Whenapotentialoverheattemperatureis
reached, the system will automatically shut the heater
off.Itcanonlyresumeoperationwhentheuserresets
the unit.
To Reset the Heater:
1. TurnMODEtoOFFandTHERMOSTATtoHI.
2. Unplugunit,wait30minutes.
3. PluginandturnON.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate:
•Turnthethermostattothehighestsetting.
•UNPLUGTHEUNIT.
•Makesuretheelectricaloutletorcircuitbreakeris
working.
•Checkforobstructions.Ifyoufindanobstruction
turntheheaterOFF,andunplugtheunit.Carefully
remove the obstruction and follow the reset
instructions.
Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the
heater.
HEATER STORAGE
1. Store heater unit with cord in a cool, dry location.
2. Werecommendstoringtheunitandcordinthe
originalpackage.
