1. (GALAXY) NH-12: MAINS SWITCH CAN TRIP
AUTOM ATICALLY
1.1 Problem description
What happens?
It can happen that the mains switch of the projector trips automatically, i.e. the projectors
mains switch automatically switches to the off state.
Description of the problem
Badcontactofthecablesocketsofthemainsunitcausesanincreaseofheatdissipation,
which causes the thermal fuse to be activated and the projector to switch off.

1.2 Problem solution
Solution in the factory
The s olution of the problem is to replace the cable sockets of the ma ins input.
The good cable sockets can be distinguished from the bad ones by their c olor:
transparent blue, showing the print AMP: these are the good cables sockets
full blue, showing the print Panduit: these cable sockets can cause the problem

Solution in the eld
It is possible to adjust the Panduit cable sockets with a pair of pliers: pinch the cable socket
so that the s lot in which the male plug slides, becomes more narrow (dimension x on im-
age 1-4). This will insure good contact between the female cable socket and the male plug.

How to correct the cable sockets?
1. Unscrew the right front foot of the projector (or remove it completely)

Remove the right front foot (see left arrow)
2. At the bottom of the projector, remove the three screws xing the mains input assembly.
See image 1-5.
3. Unplug the wires
4. Take out the mains input assembly
5. Correct the cable sockets of the following wires:
- Z3472029: wire from the mains input to the mains switch
- Z3472016: wire from the mains switch to the mains lter
- Z3472017: wire from the mains lter to the L PS

Caution:After correction, the cable sockets must be plugged in w ell.
6. Put the mains input assembly in the correct position
7. Plug in the wires that have been disconnected in step 3.
8. Fix the mains switch assembly with the three xing screws.
9. Screw in the right front foot of the projector.
