MONITOR INSTALLATION
Find a mounting location inside the vehicle cabin that is convenient to the driver
(e.g. Center of the dashboard, above the windshield on the cieling, near the rear
view mirror etc).
The mounting surface should large enough to accomodate the duck foot bracket, which
is rougly 3 x 4 inches in size.Note that the duck foot is designed to bend and flex slightly
in order to fit smoothly curved surfaces.
Attach the “duckfoot” mounting bracket to the determined mounting location using the
adhesive pad and/or self-tapping screws.
Fasten the monitor to “duckfoot” and adjust the mounting angle to allow optimum driver
viewing comfort.
POWER CABLE INSTALLATION
Connect the red wire to an ignition switched accessory (ex.radio) power source,
Connect the black wire to chassis ground.See installation diagram on pages 6-7 for
connections.
The green wire is the REVERSE trigger wire.In typical rear-view installations, connecting
this wire to the vehicle’s backup light circuit will activate the rear-view image whenever
the vehicle shifts into reverse.
FINALIZING THE INSTALLATION
Connect the monitor 13-pin connector to the power cable 13-pin connector.
Connect the camera extension cable from the rear-view camera to the “C1”6-pin connector
on the power cable.Slide the environmental sleeve of the extension over the connection.
Tuck and fasten/clamp the power cable and extension cable as much as possible into
the vehicle under the dashboard/pillar liners/etc to be out of sight from the driver and
passengers.
This reduces the possibility of the cables being hooked or snagged.Keep cables away
from HOT,rotating AND electrically noisy COMPONENTS.
Adhere to a 2-inch bend radius for all cables to prevent damage.
