Installation Instructions Before You Begin
Before beginning your installation project you will need the
following components. You should make sure all components are
accounted for prior to starting installation. (2) Chronicle Industrial
Table Legs, (2) support gussets, Mounting Screws and Handheld
Power Drill Drill Bits.
Installation Considerations
Plan Your Installation - determine the area where each leg will
be installed on the underside of table or desk. Attach the gusset
to each leg using bolt and nut. Set the table on top of the legs.
Measure spacing on each end, side and opposite corner to op-
posite corner to be sure table is centered and straight.
The Chronicle Desk leg is designed to use one leg on each end
of top when the top is 4’ or under in width.
Drill Pilot Holes - Drill pilot holes for the gusset and the top of
the leg. (If using reclaimed wood, be sure to drill slowly so as
not to split the wood) At this point, it would be a good idea to
measure again to make sure the table is still square on the legs.
**NOTE - Take care that all pilot holes and fasteners used are not
longer than the depth of your table or desk top so they do not
protrude on the useable side.
Install Legs - Once your pilot holes are complete begin attaching
fasteners - gusset to the table and top of leg to table. Take care
not to overtighten fasteners. Overtightening can make the hole
too large and actually loosen the fastener.
**NOTE - If your table or desk top is over 48” wide you will need
to purchase the additional stabilizer bar. This support bar will
attach across the underside of the table or desk top and provide
additional strength for the larger span.
