?We, NuVo Technologies, LLC, of 3015 Kustom Dr., Hebron, KY 41048,
declare under our sole responsibility that the product NV-RVIPD has been
tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur or that
television reception will not be affected. This can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on. The user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Installing the Renovia NuVoDock
The Renovia NuVoDock is designed to communicate exclusively with the
Renovia system. Installation and setup require a few simple steps.
Programming the Renovia NuVoDock
Next, select t
Renovias Main Source Hub includes Source 3 and 4 inputs for the Renovia
NuVoDock. This is an easy way to incorporate iPod® as a source for the Renovia
System. Plug the included 9-pin cable into the back of the NuVoDock (Fig. 1)
and into the desired source input (3 or 4).
he Sources tab (Fig. 2) in the Renovia Configurator software. This
tab allows you to define the source attached to each of the six source inputs.
The Renovia NuVoDock can only be assigned to source input 3 or 4. These two
inputs can be used for other sources if you choose. To select the Renovia
NuVoDock, double-click the source input number (3 or 4). A new window will
appear (Fig. 3). Select the box labeled Use NV-RVIPD at the bottom of the
screen. Other adjustments may also be made in this box.
Display name is the name that appears in the Sources list on the Control Pads.
Short name is a three character label that appears in the Now Playing screen on
the Control Pads. You must enter something in this box. To see the name of the
iPod that is docked, do not check Always use Display Name. Leaving this box
unchecked will display the name you registered your iPod with when you set it
up in iTunes®. This is great for homes with more than one iPod. When you
select Sources from the menu on the Control Pad, you will be able to see which
family members iPod is docked.

Controlling the Renovia NuVoDock
Now that the iPod has been selected from the Sources Menu, you may select
music to play off the iPod. Select Menu on the NuVo Control Pad once the
NuVoDock has been selected as the music source. A list will appear (Fig. 5).
From this list you can browse the contents of your iPod by Playlist, Artist,
Album, Song, Genre, and Composer. To browse, highlight the search function
you desire and select OK. You will now see an alphabetical list of the available
content.
To control the Renovia NuVoDock select it from the available music sources.
On the Control Pad, select Menu, then select Sources (Fig. 4). This offers quick
access to the six sources defined in the system.
The NuVoNet sources have a predefined system name unless you choose to
assign a customized name in the Configurator Software. Third-party sources
are defined with a source name in the Renovia Configurator Software.

Once the Renovia NuVoDock is installed with the Renovia Main Source Hub,
and the Renovia system is installed and powered, you will be able to place an
iPod in the NuVoDock (see the Supported iPod Models page for compatible
versions) for communication with the NuVo Wired and Wireless Control Pads.
?The iPod classic and iPod nano display will be replaced with the NuVo
logo when in NuVoNet communication, and return to normal iPod display
when the iPod is removed from the NuVoDock.
?The iPod touch will read Accessory Attached”- no NuVo logo will appear.
To return the iPod touch to normal display remove it from the NuVoDock.

iPod Settings
As you browse your options available under the Main Menu, iPod Settings will
appear as a selection. Choosing iPod Settings will provide you with three
options (Fig. 6).
Shuffle- Shuffle will mix music based on Track or Album. If you select
“Shuffle Tracks” music will change at random based on all songs stored on
your iPod. If you choose “Shuffle Albums” all tracks will be played on one
album, then a random new album is chosen. All tracks will be played on the
subsequent albums chosen.
Repeat- You can choose to repeat just the track that is currently playing or
repeat all tracks, where all music on the iPod will continuously play.

purposes only.

and playlists saved as Favorites from any source on the system. Assigning
playlists from the Renovia NuVoDock is done in the iPod Settings menu.
Within the iPod Settings menu (Fig. 6) is Setup Favorites. When “Setup
Favorites is selected you may view any previously saved Favorites. Add to
Favorites (Fig. 7) also appears at the bottom of the screen. This allows you to
add any playlist stored on the iPod currently docked. When the desired
choice is highlighted, pressing the OK button on the Control Pad will add that
playlist to your Favorites list.
