Evaluation Kit Setup
This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to setup the evaluation kit.
4.1 Preparation
IMPORTANT!
The Evaluation Board must be completely powered down (disconnected from the USB
cable) before changing any jumper or antenna connection.
The antenna supplied in the evaluation kit is designed to receive both L1 and L5
signals. If it is desired to substitute a different antenna, it must also be designed for L1
and L5.
The evaluation kit supplies 3.3V to the (active) antenna. For a passive antenna, jumper
PL113 must be removed.
1. Place the antenna face up in a location with a clear view of open sky.
4.2 Install USB Driver
When the EVB is first connected, the FTDI USB-COM port driver is automatically installed.
In case the driver does not get automatically installed, you can install the device drivers manually by
performing the following steps:
1. Download the driver from https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
2. Double-click the USB driver executable CDM v2.12.00 WHQL Certified.exe file and follow
the steps to install the USB drivers.
