SCOPE
OF MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY

Express warranty -warranty periods and remedies
Belkin warrants
the
hardware In
this
Belkin
product
against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use
for
the Hardware
Warranty Period. The Hardware Warranty Period begins on
the
date
of
purchase
by
the original end-user purchaser and lasts for the
period specified:

in Europe,

Middle East and Africa

days for refurbished

U.S.,
Canada, Latin America, and

If
you make an eligible hardware claim under this manufacturer's warranty, Belkin will honor this warranty by
doing
one
of
the
following
(at
its
option):
a.
repairing
the
product
with
new
or
refurbished parts,
b. replacing
the
product
with a reasonably available equivalent new Belkin product,
c.
refunding
the
actual purchase price
of
the
product less any rebates and discounts,
or
d. paying
the
cost
of
repair
of
the
product.
Any repaired
or
replacement products are warranted for the remainder
of
the
original Hardware Warranty Period
or
30
days, whichever
is
longer. All products and parts
that
are replaced become
the
property
of
Belkin.
Other
than in
the
European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, this warranty is
only
valid and enforceable in
the
country
of
purchase.
If
this Belkin
product
is purchased
in
the
EEA
and Switzerland, this warranty is
only
valid
and
enforceable in
the
EEA and
Switzerland and may be redeemed anywhere
in
the
EEA
and Switzerland.
No Belkin employee,
agent
or
reseller can make any verbal
or
written
modification, extension
or
addition
to
this manufacturer's
warranty.
Note 1:
Be
aware
that
goods presented
for
repair
may be replaced by refurbished goods
of
the
same
type
rather than

defective
goods being repaired. Alternatively, refurbished parts may be used in
the
repair.

vulnerability

intrusion

to the continued availability
of

third
party's service, which this product's use

operation may require.
Note: Although these warranties are

(iii) Circumstances in which this manufacturer's warranty does

apply

not
apply if:

the

damage was caused by use
with

the

not
been installed, operated, repaired,

maintained in accordance
with
instructions supplied
by

c.
the

has been subjected
to
abnormal physical
or
electrical stress, misuse, negligence,
or
accident,
d.
the
serial number on

product
has been altered, defaced,
or
removed,
or
e.
the
product
is supplied
or
licensed
for
be

a,
evaluation, testing
or
demonstration purposes
for
which Belkin does
not
charge a
purchase price
or
license fee.

Have your
product
serial number and
proof
of
purchase on hand when calling or lodging a
warranty

WARRANTY CLAIMS.
If
you are requested
to
return your
product
by post, you will be
given a Return Materials Authorization
(RMA)
number.
You
are responsible
for
properly packaging and shipping
your
product
at
your
own cost and risk, and you are responsible
for
all shipping and handling charges, in addition
to
any applicable customs duties, VAT
or
other associated taxes
or
charges when returning
your
product.
You
must include
the
RMA number and a copy
of
your dated
proof
of
original purchase when returning
your
product. Products received
without
an RMA number and
dated
proof
of
original purchase will be
rejected. Do
not
include any other items
with
the
product
you are returning.
If
you purchased your
product
wi
thin
the
European Union,
Norway,
or
Switzerland, you must return such
product
to
Belkin's designated central exchange center within
the
European Union. Please
speak to Belkin Technical Support
as
directed above
for
more details.
Defective
product
covered
by
this manufacturer's warranty will be repaired
or
replaced and returned
to
you
without
charge. Belkin does
not
ship replacement products
to
locations outside
the
country
from
which
the
original
product
was purchased. Repairs
or
replacements
not
covered under this manufacturer's warranty
or
your
statutory
consumer rights will be subject
to
charge
at
Belkin's then-current
rates.

D. GENERAL
EX
CLUSIONS
AND
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
In some jurisdictions and circumstances,

a manufacturer to change

exclude warranties, conditions

guarantees

limit
its

limits all implied warranties and conditions

excludes all other express

infringement;
excludes all liabihty for the loss of,

damage to, data caused by

its repair;
excludes any liability

may have
to
you for:

loss
of
revenue
or
profit,

loss
of
the
ability
to
use any
third-party
products, software

services, and
c. any indirect, consequential, special, incidental

punitive loss

damages, which arises under any law (including the
law

negligence) and relates

to

a Belkin
product
or
software,

any related services. This exclusion applies

if
Belkin has been advised

the
possibility

such damages and even

warranty

remedy provided under this
manufacturer's
warranty
fails

its
essential purpose; and

monetary
liability
to
you, under any law,
to
the
price
that
you paid
for
the
Belkin product.
If
you live in the European Union, references in this Section
to
"special, indirect, consequential
or
incidental losses
shall mean any losses which
(i)
were
not
reasonably foreseeable by
both
parties, and/or
(ii)
were known to you
but
not
to
us and/or
(iii)
were reasonably foreseeable by both parties
but
could have been prevented by you such as,
for
example
(but
without
limitation), losses
caused by viruses, Trojans
or
other malicious programs,

loss
of

damage
to
your data.

1.
AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND
In Australia and
New
Zealand,
our
goods come
with
certain guarantees
that
cannot be excluded under
the
Australian Consumer Law and
the
Consumer Guarantees
Act
1993 (CGA) respectively.
You
are entitled
to
a replacement
or
refund
for
a major failure and compensation
for
any reasonably foreseeable loss
or
damage.
You
are also entitled
to
have
the
goods repaired
or
replaced
if
the
goods fail
to
be
of
acceptable
quality
and
the
failure does
not
amount to a major failure. The
CGA
does not apply where
the
goods you purchased are to
be used
for
business purposes.
In Australia and New Zealand only,
if
you make an eligible hardware claim under this manufacturer's warranty,
the
options
for
repair,
replacement
or
refund listed above will be
at
your election.
If
you chose
to
replace your product, Belkin will replace
your
Belkin product
with
a new Belkin product, and your replacement
product
will
be
warranted
for
the Hardware Warranty Period
for
new products.
In Australia,
the
following note should follow "General Exclusions and Limitations
of
Liability":

a kind ordinarily acquired

If
you are a consumer

the
People's Republic

China, your replacement product will be warranted
for
the Hardware Warranty Period

new products.

FRANCE
-RIGHTS GRANTED
BY
THE LEGAL GUARANTEE
IN
FRANCE
As a Fren
ch
consumer, you have rights under French law, includi
ng
the
legal warranty against hidden defects in accordance
with
Articles 1641
to
1648
of
the
French Civil Code,
and
the
applicat
ion
of
the
legal
warranty
of
conformi
ty
in
accordance wi
th
Articl

L.217-4

L.217
-1
2
of
the
French Consumer Code.
When acting on
the
grounds
of
the legal guarantee
of
conformity, the consumer:
benefits from a two-year warranty period from delivery
of
the
product
in
which
to
act;
can choose between
the
repair
or
the
replacement
of
the
product, subject
to
the
conditions regarding costs
provided for by Article
L.
217-9
of
the
French Consumer Code;
is exempt from having
to
prove
the
lack
of
conformity
of
the
product
for
the
two
years following
its
delivery (and
for
six months following delivery
of
the
product
for second-hand goods).
The legal guarantee
of
conformity applies regardless
of
the
commercial guarantee eventually offered.
The consumer can decide
to
apply
the
legal guarantee for hidden defects within

meaning

In such a case. the consumer can choose between

cancellation
of
the
sale
or
a reduction
of
the sale price. pursuant

The
action resulting
from
the
lack
of
conformity
shall lapse

years

During
the
effective
period

warranty
offered

buyer

of

The
action resulting
from
hidden defects has
to
be
filed
within
two
years
of
the
discovery
of
the
defect.
4. GERMANY
In
Germany,
the
statutory
warranty
rights
are
provided
for
in Secs.
434
subseq. and 474 subseq.
of
the
German Civil Code.
They
comprise
the
right
for
supplementary performance, rescission,
reduction
of
purchase price and compensation
of
damages.
The
statutory
warranty
rights
apply
as
of
the
time
the
risk in
the
product
is transferred.
In
Germany,
the
"General Exclusions
and
Limitations
of
Liability•
is replaced
with
the
following provision:
Belkln's
liability
for
damages caused
by
slight
negligence, irrespective
of
its
legal
ground,
shall be
limited
as follows:
(i)
Belkin shall
be
liable
up
to
the
amount
of
the
foreseeable damages
typical
for
this
type
of
contract
due
to
a breach
of
material contractual obligations;
(ii)
Belkin shall
not
be liable
due
to
a
slightly
negligent
breach
of
any
other
duty
of
care applicable.
The
aforesaid limitations
of
liability
shall
not
apply
to
any
mandatory
statut
ory
liability, in particular
to
liability
under
the
German
Product
Liability
Act
(Produkthaftungsgesetz),
and
liability
for
culpably caused injuries
of
life,
body
or health.
In
addition, such
limitations
of
liability
shall
not
apply
if
and
to
the
extent
Belkin has assumed a specific guarantee.

In Australia our
goods
come
with
guarantees
that
cannot
be
excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled
to
a
replacement
or
refund
for
a major failure and compensation for any
other
reasonably foreseeable loss
or
damage. You are also
entitled
to
have the goods repaired
or
replaced
if
the
goods fail
to
be
of
acceptable
quality
and
the
failure does
not
amount
to
a
major failure. Repair
of
the
goods may result in loss
of
data. Goods presented for repair may
be
replac,ed by refurbished
goods
of
the same
type
rather than being repaired. Refurbished
parts
may be used
to
repair
the
goods.
In New Zealand,
our
goods come
with
guarantees
that
cannot be excluded under
the
Consumer Guarantees

This manufacturer's warranty is

intended to:
change
or
exclude any rights
under
the
ANZ Consumer Laws

WHAT
DOES
THIS WARRANTY
COVER?
Product Warranty: Belkin warrants
that
this Belkin product and any associated software media (i.e. media
c,n
which the product software
is provided) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during
the
Warranty Period as defined below
(Product
Warranty).
This means
that
the product won't be faulty, and
that
it
will look and work
as
advertised, during the Warranty Period.

any equipment which
is
connected through the Belkin product
to
a
properly wired
AC
power line
with
protective ground (Connected Equipment) caused by failure
of
the Belkin product
to
operate as
described In the product documentation and arising as a result

impulses from lightning, or
other
power transients,
or
by
momentary
(less than
1ms)
voltage surges
or
spikes (an Occurrence) during the Warranty Period (Connected Equi
pment
Warranty),
if
the
claim
is
made within fifteen (15) days from the date
of
the Occurrence.
The Connected Equipment Warranty will
not
apply
if
damage
to
the Connected Equipment resulted from:
telephone-line transients
if
the
Connected Equipment was
not
properly connected
to
or
was
not
directly connected
to
a Belkin product
that
offers telephone-line transient protection;
coaxial-line transients
if
the Connected Equipment was
not
properly connected
lo
or
was
not
directly connected
to
a Belkin product
that offers coaxial-line transient protection;
or
network-line transients
if
the
Connected Equipment was
not
properly connected
to
or
was
not
directly connected
to
a Belkin product
that
offers network-line transient protection.
The
Connected Equipment Warranty will remain effective for the Warranty Period set
out
below. The Conne·cted Equipment Warranty
automatically ends when the Product Warranty ends.

Is covered
under
the
Product
Warranty
and
the
Connected
Equipment
Warranty?
Only original end-user purchasers
of
the
product
purchased within Australian
or
New Zealand are covered.
How
long is
the

The Warranty Period begins on the date the
product
was purchased
by
the original end-user purchaser and lasts for the period set

excluded

not
come on because your
product
is dead

arrival,
your

considered dead

arrival when it does

work when you

power

first
time.

sixty
(60)
days from the date
of
purchase
of
your
product
for a replacement (see
the
section on "Belkin Technical and Warranty Support Information• below). A product given
to
replace a
product
that
is dead
on
arrival shall
be covered
by
a fresh warranty having
the
same duration
as
the original Warranty Period.
If
the Protected
Light
indicator on the
product
goes out at any time, this means
that
the capacity
of
the
product
is
exceeded, and the
product will no longer protect against surges and spikes
of
energy. Therefore,
if
the Protected
Light
indicator on
your
product
goes out.
we strongly recommend
that
you cease using
the
product
immediately. In such an event,
if
the
product
is still within the Warranty Period
and
if
none
of
the
exclusions set
out
in
this warranty apply, please contact Belkin Technical Support
for
a replacement product.
A claim under this warranty is only eligible
if
it
is made within
the
Warranty Period.

the Connected Equipment has been subjected
to
abnormal physical or electrical stress, misuse, negligence,
or

damage

the Connected Equipment

the Connected Equipment was caused
by
a power outage, a sustained low voltage situation,
or
a low-voltage disturbance,
including
but
not
limited
to
brownouts
or
sags;
repair
or
replacement
of
the damaged Connected Equipment

covered
by
a
third
party's manufacturer's warranty, a seller's extended
warranty,
or
your insurance policy;
Belkin determines
that
the Connected Equipment was
not
used under normal operating conditions
or
in accordance
with
the
manufacturer's instructions
for
the
Connected Equipment; or
you continue
to
use the
product
in the knowledge
that
the Protected
Light
indicator has gone
out
.

its
sole discretion,
replace the damaged Connected Equipment
with
a reasonably available equivalent new
or
refurbished Connected Equipment
(in
which
case we will engage
the
repair facility and negotiate and settle
the
cost
of
repair);
or
refund you
the
fair market value
of
the damaged Connected Equipment
as
reasonably assessed
by
Bel km in
its
sole discretion.
Belkin makes every reasonable
effort
to
repair
or
replace
your
damaged Connected Equipment under
this
warranty. However, as the
repaired
or
replacement Connected Equipment is manufactured
by
third parties, Belkin does
not
make any warranty in relation
to
such
repaired
or
replacement Connected Equipment,
nor
is Belkin able
to
confirm
that
the manufacturer
of
the
Connected Equipment will offer
such a warranty.
All calculations performed
by
Belkin
in
evaluating your claim under this warranty are final and binding on you except in
the
case
of
errors.
For Belkin
to
properly and expeditiously validate your claim under this Product Warranty
and/
or
the Connected Equipment Warranty, you
agree that Belkin may examine the damaged product, the damaged Connected Equipment and/or
the
site where the damage occurred.
Belkin has a
right
to
do
these
things
until any claim under the Product Warranty
and/
or
the Connected Equipment Warranty is finalised.
The damaged
product
and damaged Connected Equipment
must
remain available
for
inspection
during
that
time
. Do
not
dispose
of
the
product
and Connected Equipment until
your
claim has been fully resolved. Please review
the
section
titled
"What

I need
to
do
to
make a
claim?" under the header "Belkin Technical and Warranty
