or combustible materials (lighter
fluid, gasoline, kerosene, etc.)
or use in areas where they may
be present.
» Do not use vacuum cleaner in an
enclosed space filled with vapors
given off by oil base paint, paint
thinner, some moth proofing
substances, flammable dust, or
other explosive or toxic vapors.
» Do not use to pick up toxic
material (chlorine bleach,
ammonia, drain cleaner, etc.).
» Do not pick up anything that is
burning or smoking, such as
cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
» Do not use without filters in place.
» Do not pick up hard or sharp
objects such as glass, nails, screws,
coins, etc.
» Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
» Keep appliance on a level surface.
» Do not carry the vacuum cleaner
while it is running.
» Do not charge the unit outdoors.
» Use only the charger supplied by
the manufacturer to recharge.
» Do not incinerate the appliance
even if it is severely damaged. The
batteries can explode in a fire.
» Battery cell leaks can occur under
extreme conditions. If battery cell
contents comes in contact with
the skin or eyes: immediately
flush with water for 15 minutes.
Seek medical attention if irritation
persists.

WARNING
Do not turn on your vacuum until you are familiar with all instructions and operating
procedures.

Push the wand into the handle until
you hear a “click.”
Push the wand into the floor tool until
you hear a “click.”
Push the hose into the handle until you hear
a “click.
Push the hose into the body until you hear
a “click.

The floor tool can
be parked on rear
of vacuum or the
wand can be parked
on bottom for
storage.
The tool clip snaps onto
the underside of handle
next to wand connection.

Inserting the Battery
Push the battery firmly into the body
of the vacuum .
WARNING
Before using your vacuum, make sure that the dirt container is in locked position and
that all filters, both pre and post-filters are in place. DO NOT operate your vacuum without
these filters.

Align the tabs on bottom of battery door
and push in until you hear a “click.”
Adjusting the Variable Suction
Turn the product on by pressing the on/off button.
The vacuum has 3 power levels that can be changed
by twisting the on/off button. The power levels are
indicated by 3 LEDs and symbols showing curtains
for low power mode, flooring for medium power
mode and ‘MAX’ for full power.

The hard floor turbine tool
can be used across all types
of hard surface.

NOTE: In low power mode, the brush roll will not rotate.

Above Floor Cleaning
The crevice tool can be used to clean in
narrow spaces.

Maintenance: Empty the Dirt Container
Pull up on the tab at the front of the
vacuum to open the dirt container
compartment.
Pull up on the dirt container lid to flip
into a trash can to empty.

Once the dirt container is emptied,
snap everything back in place.
Pull up on the dirt container to remove
from the compartment.

WARNING
Do not operate vacuum with damp or wet filters, as well as without filters or the Dirt
Container in place. Allow components to dry before reassembling the Dirt Container.
Maintenance: Cleaning the Filters
The pre-motor filter is on the back of
the dirt container. Pull on the tab on the
left side to release and remove.

The post-motor filter can be found at
the back of the vacuum. Press down
on the filter door tab to release and pull
the door out to remove.

The foam filter can be removed from the
paper filter and rinsed clean. Allow 24
hours to dry before reassembly.
The paper filter should be tapped and
brushed clean only.
Maintenance: Charging the Battery
To charge the battery,
first plug the charger
into a outlet.

Insert the battery firmly into the
charger.
The charger light will be red
during charging and will turn
green when the battery is fully
charged
A full charge will take 2 hours.
Pull the filter away from the door. Rinse
the filter to clean. Leave to dry for 24
hours before reassembly.

Troubleshooting
WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch o and disconnect plug from
electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
Problem Possible causes Remedies
Vacuum
won’t pick
up dirt
The filters are dirty. Remove and rinse the pre-motor
filter and the foam post-motor filter.
Tap or brush the non-washable
paper post-motor filter in to a trash
can to remove debris. Allow 24
hours for the pre-motor filter and
the foam post-motor filter to dry.
The hose is not connected. Locate the hose and reconnect by
inserting the hose connection to
secure the latch on the body.
There is a crack or hole in the
hose.
If there is a crack or hole, order a
new hose from the BISSELL website.
There is a clog in the vacuum. Remove debris and any other
entanglements that may be
restricting its rotation. Use a broom
handle to remove any debris from
the hose.
The dirt container is not
positioned correctly.
Remove the dirt container. Ensure
dirt container lid and filter are in
place correctly then reinsert.
Dirt is
escaping
from the
vacuum
The dirt container is full. Empty the dirt container.
Filters are missing. Check to see if all of the pre-motor
and post-motor filters are in place.
The dirt container is not
positioned properly.
Remove the dirt container. Insert
the bottom first and pivot the dirt
container towards the vacuum.
Listen for a “click” sound, indicating
that it snapped into place.
