SPC 3293B is a safety telephone with big dialing buttons, designed for easy use. It provides convenience and accessibility with its hearing-aid compatibility, as well as FSK/DTMF dual systems compatibility. The large 16-digit one-line LCD display ensures clear visibility of incoming call numbers.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your purchasing our newest safety telephone with big dialing buttons. This
manual is designed to familiarize you with this phone. To get the maximum use from your
new phone, we suggest that you read this Instruction Manual carefully before operating it.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
When using your telephone equipment, the following basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons:
1. Read and understand all instructions and follow all warnings.
2. Unplug the product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or
aerosol cleaners. Use damp cloth for cleaning.
3. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand or table. The product may fall,
causing serious damage to the product.
4. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in the risk of fire or
electric shock.
5. Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may
touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a risk of fire or
electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.
6. Avoid using this unit during an electrical storm, move or disconnect the unit, there may
be a remote risk of electronic shock from lightning and thunder.

FUNCTION AND OPERATION DESCRIPTION
RECEIVING A CALL
When a call comes, the telephone rings and LCD displays the incoming call number,
meanwhile, the Ring LED on the bottom of the base flickering.
From handset
1. When the telephone rings, pick up the handset to answer the call and talk to the other
party by handset.
2. When finished, return the handset to the base.
Switching to speakerphone
1. When using the handset, press key and return the handset to the base.
2. When finished, press key again.
From speakerphone
1. When the telephone rings, press key to answer the call and talk to the caller in
hands-free mode. For the other party to hear your voice clearly, speak into the speaker
from a distance of 32cm or less.
2. When finished, press key again.
MAKING A CALL
From handset
1. Pick up the handset.
2. When you hear the dialing tone, dial the desired number.
3. When finished, return the handset to the base.
From Speakerphone
1. Press key
2. When you hear the dialing tone, dial the desired number.
3. When finished, press key again.
REVIEWING, CALLING BACK AND DELETING INCOMING NUMBERS
Reviewing
At on-hook state, press or to review numbers.
Deleting
When the desired number is shown, press DEL key, the number is deleted.
Press and hold DEL key for 3 seconds, all the incoming numbers are deleted.
Calling back
1. Scroll to the desired number, press key, press key or pick up the handset, the
number is dialed out,

SETTING MENU
SETTING DATE AND TIME
1. In on-hook state, press [MENU] key, LCD displays SET 1 DATE
2. Press [MENU] key, the digits of year flash.
3. Press or key to edit the year, Press [MENU] key to confirm, use the same method
to set the month, date, hour and minute.
SETTING LOCAL AREA CODE
1. At on-hook state, press [MENU] key and then press key, LCD will display SET 2
CODE
2. Press [MENU] key again, LCD displays CODE - - - - - -
3. Press or key to set the first digit of local area code;
4. Press [MENU] key to confirm and enter the second digit setting, use the same method
to set the rest 5 digits.
SETTING LONG DISTANCE CODE
1. At on hook state, press [MENU] key
2. Press key 2 times, LCD displays SET 3 LCODE.
3. Press [MENU] to confirm, LCD displays ---------------0
4. Press or key to set the first code, Press [MENU] key to confirm to enter the next
one.
SETTING LCD CONTRAST
1 At on hook state, press [MENU] key
2 Press key three times, LCD displays SET 4 LCD
3 Press [MENU] to confirm, LCD displays LCD 5
4 Press or key to select the comfortable level among 8 levels
5 Press [MENU] to confirm.
SETTING FLASH TIME
1. At on hook state, press [MENU] key
2. Press key four times, LCD displays SET 5 FLASH
3. Press [MENU] to confirm, LCD displays FLASH 100
4. Press or key to select the required flash time from FLASH 100, FLASH 300,
FLASH 600, FLASH 1000
5. Press [MENU] to confirm.
REDIAL FUNCTION
Pick up the handset or press key, then press key. The first 32-digit of last
dialled number will be dialled out.

FLASH FUNCTION
When you dial a number but the line is busy, press R key to seize a new line.
MUSIC ON HOLD FUNCTION
1. In hands-free talking mode, press key to enter the hold mode, the hold music is sent
out,
2. Or in handset talking mode, press key and put the handset on the base, then the
unit will enter the hold mode, the hold music is sent out,
3. In hold mode, press or key to quit hold mode and continue to talk at hands-free
mode.
4. Or pick up handset to release hold mode and talk over handset.
MUTE FUNCTION
1. In off-hook state, press MUTE key to mute your voice, then the caller can’t lesson your
speaking, but you can get the caller voice.
2. Press MUTE key again to return the normal conversation state.
ONE-TOUCH MEMORY FUNCTION
Store one-touch memory function
1. At on-hook state, pre-dial the call number you want to store not exceeding 32 digits.
2. Press , LCD displays “STORE”, then press M1 or M2.
Dial one-touch memory function
At on-hook or off-hook state, press M1 or M2, the stored number will be dialled out.
TWO TOUCH MEMORY OPERATION
Store the number in two-touch memory
1. At on-hook state, pre-dial the desired number or checking incoming and outgoing
number that you want to store.
2. Press key
3. Press one of digit keys (0-9)
Dial two-touch memory
In on-hook state,
1. Press key, LCD display RECALL,
2. Press digit key (0-9) key, LCD displays the stored number,
3. Press or key or pick up the handset to dial it out directly,
4. Or press key twice to dial out number ahead with long distance code.
In off-hook state,
1. Press key, LCD display RECALL,
2. Press digit key (0-9) key, the stored number will be dialed out.

CALLER ID
When the telephone is receiving an incoming call, the incoming call number is displayed
on LCD. The missed call numbers will always displaying until you pick-up and hang-up
one time.
VOLUME CONTROL
Ringing volume control
Slide the TIMBRE switch to select the ringing volume for incoming calls.
1. If you slide the TIMBRE switch to , the ringing volume is loud,
2. If you slide the TIMBRE switch to , the ringing volume is low,
3. If you slide the TIMBRE switch to , it will not ring when there is a new call coming.
Handset volume booster function
1. At handset conversation mode, if you feel the handset volume to low, press once
to increase the volume about 10 dB to help you to lesson clearly.
2. Press key again or pick up the handset next time, the handset volume is return to
primary state.
Adjust hands-free volume
At hands-free state, press or key to adjust hands-free volume, total 4 levels can be
adjusted.
1 PROGRAMMABLE 112 NUMBER
Emergency Service
1. At on-hook or off-hook state, press 112 key.
2. The emergency call number 112 is dialled out.
Store 112 numbers
The emergency number can be changed.
1. Input the first 112 number not exceeding 32 digits.
2. Press key, LCD displays “STORE”, then press 112 key.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
? No receiving
+ Check if the handset is on the phone or line is broken.
? Noise
+ Check if the circuit is broken, change the circuit.
Check if the connector is moist or rust, change the connector.
? Ring once then disconnect when receive a call. Dialing function is available
+ Check if connector is in a moist environment.
Check if too many extensions are used together or the quality of extension is not good
enough, change the bad extension.
