1 - FITTING THE DESK SUPPORT

YourJUPITER4canbeusedintheflatpositionorraisedwiththedesk

support.ThedesksupportwillgiveyouthebestviewingangleoftheLCD

display.Tofitthedesksupport,turnthetelephoneover,insertthetwoupper

hooksintotheopeningsprovidedandpushthedesksupportfirmlyhome.

2-CONNECTING

BatteriesarerequiredforthephonebookandcallerIDfunction.

Thebatteriesalsoretainthememoriesinthephonebook.Incaseofpower

cutandiftherearenobatteries,thememorieswillbekept2mins.

ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE UNIT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE

TELEPHONE LINE WHEN INSTALLING OR CHANGING BATTERIES.

TheACadaptorcanreplacethebatteriesforthephonebookandcallerID

functions.Butincaseofpowercut,batterieswillalwaysbeusefultoretain

thememoriesandforthephonebookandCIDfunction.

Settheringerswitchtothedesiredlevel(HI/LO).

Forthemaximumringervolume,movetheringselectortoHIposition.If

youpreferagentlering,movetheringselectortotheLOposition

The menu includes PHONE BOOK, SET TIME and SET PHONE

functions.

1 - SET TIME AND DATE

-AfterenteringtheSETTIMEmenu,pressOK.

-Use

or buttontoselectthecorrectnumber.

-Aftersettingthetime,youcansetthecorrectmonthanddaybyusing

or buttontoselectthecorrectnumber.

-Whenyoufinishthesetting,pressOKbuttontoconfirm.

NOTE:Whenyoureceiveafirstcalltothisunit,timeanddatewillbe

automaticallysetifyouhaveCallerIDservice.(FSKstandard)

The setting sequence is HOUR-MINUTE-MONTH-DAY.

SET LANGUAGE / LCD CONTRAST / SET AREA & LDS (LONG

DATE FORMAT.

becausethephonemustdistinguishlocal(AREA)orlongdistancecalls

(LDS)toproperlydialcallsformthecallerIDlist.

-AfterenteringtheSETAREA&LDSmenu,pressOK.

- The LCD displays «AREA CODE»

-Use

or buttontoselectthefirstdigitoftheareacode.Ifthearea

codeis09,thenthefirstfourdigitsmustbeleftblank.Toinsertablank,

press OK.

Forexample,dialinganinternationalnumber(eg:00-886-22-795-1234),

somePBXsystemswillnotregistertheentirenumberentrywithouta

pausebetweentheprefixnumbers.

You mayhave todial 00 - ,dial 886- .

ThisallowsadequatetimingforthephonenumbertoregisterwiththePBX

systemandcompletethecall.Incaseofdifficulty,contactyourPBX

manufacturerorinstaller .

5- SPEAKER( )

Toswitchyourcalltospeakerphone:

buttonandhanguphandset.

-Toswitchback,simplypickupthehandset.

Note:Ifyouinserttheheadset(option)intothe socketlocatedbehind

Thelightwillcontinuetoflashuntilallthenewcallshavebeenreviewed.

Ifyouwishtospeakprivatelytosomeoneelseintheroomwithoutyour

calleroverhearing,pressthe
