■ Special Function Keys: The <Fn> key activates special functions
when
pressed in combination with other keys.
Places the computer into standby mode. To resume from standby
mode, press the power button.
Shows the current power source and the remaining battery charge.
Used to type the symbol for Euro currency.
Switches the output to the LCD or an external monitor when an exter-
nal monitor is connected to the computer. (P. 6-8)
Turns the LCD on and off.
Turns the audio output on and off.
Launches Samsung Magic Doctor used for system diagnostics and
recovery. (P. 7-2)
You can switch system operating modes by pressing the Hotkey so that
you can use the maximum performance, save power consumption, or
minimize noise.
•Silent: Low-Noise, Low Power-Consumption Mode
•Normal: Normal Mode
•Speed: Maximum Performance Mode
This mode forces the system to allocate system resources at
maximum and at priority to currently activated programs to
provide the highest performance for users.
Turns the wireless LAN on or off.
Note. Wireless LAN is optional, and may not be supported depend-
ing on your model.
Turns the touchpad function on and off.
