~Even after it has been switched off,
the device has not been completely
disconnected from the power. In or-
der to fully disconnect it, pull out the
power plug.
~When setting up the device, make
sure that the power cable is not
trapped or crushed.
~To pull the power plug out of the
outlet, always pull on the power
plug, and never on the power ca-
ble.
~Disconnect the power plug from the
outlet, …
if there is a fault,
when you are not using the de-
vice,
before you clean the device and
during thunderstorms.
~Do not connect another device with
a high power consumption to a out-
let on the same circuit. This way you
will avoid overloading the power
power supply.
~To avoid any risk, do not make
modifications to the device.
Risk of injury through
burning
~Danger to life from burns. Please en-
sure that children are not able to
pull the device down from the work
surface with the power cable.
~Danger from explosive deflagration.
Make sure you use fat that is fresh,
clean and suitable for a fondue.
Old, used or unsuitable fat may ig-
nite even at low temperatures.
Should the fat catch fire while using
the fondue, do not try to extinguish
it with water under any circumstanc-
es. Smother the fire with a sauce-
pan lid of appropriate size or a
woolen blanket.
~Warning! Risk of burns caused by
splashes of hot liquid when dipping
food into the pot: dry food off be-
forehand and protect hands and
forearms with oven mitts.
~To prevent it from overflowing dur-
ing heating, the stainless steel pot
should not be filled above the upper
marking MAX indicating the maxi-
mum filling level.
~Leave all parts to cool down fully
before emptying, cleaning or mov-
ing the pot.
~Never move the heating unit while
the stainless steel pot is standing on

Risk of injury from cutting
~Do not eat directly from the fondue
forks. They are very sharp.
Risk of material damage
~The stainless steel pot must be filled
at least up to the lower marking
MIN indicating the minimum filling
level, as less content can quickly
overheat.
~Only use the original accessories.
~The device is fitted with nonslip
plastic feet. As furniture is coated
with a variety of different varnishes
and acrylics and treated with differ-
ent cleaning agents, we cannot rule
out that some of these substances
could damage and soften the rub-
ber feet. If necessary, place a non-
slip mat under the device.
~Fat may splash out when the electric
fondue is in operation. You should
therefore place the device on a sur-
face that is resistant to both heat
and grease.
~Do not pour liquid fat down the
sink: when it cools, it may block the
drains (see “Emptying the stainless
steel pot” on page 13).
~Make sure that the surface under
the device is dry.
~Never place the heating unit on hot
surfaces (e.g. hot plates) or near
sources of heat or open flame.
~Never use the dishwasher to
clean the red stainless steel
fondue pot.
~Do not use any astringent or abra-
sive cleaning agents.
