8. BASIC SETUP METHOD
a. Asaminimum,connectpower,loop,andaudioinputsignals(seeconnectionsabove).Enableandstatusconnects
canbeusedifdesired.
b. Connectacomputertotheethernetportasdescribedabove.Navigatetohttp://t14-1n.localandlogonusing
‘audioadmin’or‘superadmin’.
c. Browsetothe‘Audio’tabofthewebsite.
d. Applyaninputaudiosignaltotheunit,andincreasetheinputgainsliderforthatinputonthewebsiteuntilthe
compressionbargraphshowsabout6-12dBcompression(andtheAGCLEDislit)
e. Enablethe‘combi’testsignalusingthewebsiteinterface.Turnuptheloopoutputcurrentuntilthecorrectmagnetic
eldstrength(0dBre:400mAm-1)isobtainedintheintendedareaofuse.Measurethemagneticeldstrengthusinga
magneticeldstrengthmeter.
f. Enablethe‘pinknoise’testsignalusingthewebsiteinterface.Usethemagneticeldstrengthmetertomeasurethe
frequencyresponseofthemagneticeld.OnthewebsiteadjusttheMetalLossControl(usingthedual-slopefeatureif
necessarytocorrectamorecomplexcurve),andrepeatthetestadjustinguntilthefrequencyresponseis+/-3dBre:
1kHzvalueoverthe100Hzto5kHzrange.
g. Turnothetestsignalsandconnecttheintendedaudioinputsignals,adjustinginputattenuationsothattheAGCLED
is lit when audio is present.
