Thank you for taking Stansport outdoors. We hope you enjoy your new Cabana and that it will give you many years of camping
pleasure. We encourage you to read and understand each step of the set-up instructions prior to working with the Cabana. DO
NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE CABANA POLES DURING SET UP.
CABANA SET-UP
1. Assemble the 4 sets of Tent Body Section poles, the 2 sets of Roof Section poles, and 4 sets of floor poles. (See diagram)
Now spread the cabana out on the ground until it is opened completely.
2. Insert 1 set of roof poles through the sleeve on the top of the cabana and then into the sleeve on the opposite side.
Repeat this procedure with the second roof pole set. The poles should cross in the middle. After both sets have been installed tie
the two sections together with the ties at the top of the cabana.
3. Next, insert the straight end of a tent body pole set through the sleeves on one side of the cabana starting at the upper most
sleeve. Repeat this procedure for the 3 remaining pole sets.
4. When all 4 of the long pole sets are in place, insert the plain end of a roof pole into the ferrule end of a long pole at each corner.
Make sure the pole is fully inserted into the ferrule (the metal tube on the end). Now move to the bottom of the cabana. At each
corner insert a pin into the end of each pole. You can now stand the cabana up.
5. Now insert a short pole set through a sleeve at the bottom of one side of the cabana. Repeat this process until all 4 sets are in
place. Next, insert a pin into the end of each short pole. Once the procedure is completed your cabana is ready for use.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Securing and placement of Cabana. Make sure to stake down the Cabana (with the tent stakes included) in windy weather, or if
you anticipate afternoon winds coming up while you are away from your campsite. Always place your Cabana a safe distance from
your campfire - unstaked Cabanas placed up wind of the fire can be blown into the fire. Cabana placed downwind of the fire are
often showered with tiny sparks that can burn holes in the lightweight fabrics of the Cabana. We recommend that you practice
setting up your Cabana at home before taking it into the wilderness.
MILDEW
Mildew is likely to form if a Cabana is rolled wet for more than a few days. Prompt cleaning and drying is the only way to stop the
growth of mildew. Staining is irreversible.
WARNING
Stansport Cabana fabrics are flame retardant treated per CPAI-84. However, for your safety,
we recommend that NO open flame be used in or near your Cabana.
