This product is guaranteed for two years from the date of original purchase. If any defect
arises due to faulty materials or workmanship, faulty products must be returned to place of
purchase. Refunds or replacement is at the discretion of the store.
The following conditions apply:
1. The product must be returned to the retailer with original proof of purchase.
2. The product must be installed and used in accordance with the instruction contained in
this instruction guide.
3. It must be used only for domestic purpose.
4. It does not cover wear and tear, damage, misuse or consumable parts.
5. Swan has no responsibility for incidental or consequential loss or damage.

Important Safeguards
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the
following:
1. Read all instructions carefully before using any appliance.
2. Always ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in
your home.
3.
An authorised service representative should perform any other servicing.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
4. Do let the appliance rest at least 2 minutes before use again.
5. Never misuse this blender.
6. Care is needed when handling blades
7. Always keep the appliance out of the reach of children
8. Check that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage marked on your
mains supply meter.
9. Always unplug the appliance after use and before washing.
10. Wait until the blade has completely stopped before removing the lid.
11. Do not immerse the motor unit in water nor place it under running water.
12. Never try to dismantle the appliance yourself.
13. If the mains lead or the plug is damaged, do not use your appliance.
14. If the supply cord is damaged, the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualified person must replace it

U.K. Plug Wiring Instructions
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

Note: The Coffee capsule/mill (G) can also be used for grinding spices
ASSEMBLING
1. Fitting the blender jug.
2. Turn one way to lock; the other way to unlock. Note arrow positions for assistance
3. Fitting the Jar Lid
4. Fitting the Coffee Grinder/Mill base unit
5. Turn one way to lock; the other way to unlock. Note arrow positions for assistance
6. Fitting the Coffee Grinder/Mill cap
7. Turn anti-clockwise to lock into place; clockwise to unlock
USING
Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains supply and that the Speed Selector is in
the “0” position.
Blender
Fit the blender jug to the base and turn it to lock into position. Note the position of the arrows
to assist. Fit the lid. Remove the Cap (A) from the centre of the lid. Put material to be
blended into the hole where the cap was. Set the Speed Selector to Pulse, 1 or 2 as
appropriate. Switch back to “0” position when process is complete.
Note: The motor should be run for no longer than 1 minute at a time with at least 2
minutes rest in between. 1 minute is more than sufficient for almost any process.
Coffee Grinder/Mill
Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains supply and the Speed Selector is set to
the “0” position
Fill the Coffee Grinder/Mill with coffee beans or spices as appropriate no more than 70%
full. Fit the lid of the mill.
Note: the lid for the mill turns anti-clockwise to lock!
Set the Speed Selector to Pulse, 1 or 2 as appropriate. Switch back to “0” position when
process is complete.
Note: The motor should be run for no longer than 1 minute at a time with at least 2
minutes rest in between. 1 minute is more than sufficient for almost any process.
Grasp the base of the mill assembly and remove it from the motor base. Remove the lid of
the mill (turn clockwise to remove) and empty contents.
NOTES
This product is fitted with a number of interlock switches that prevent accidental operation
when the blades are exposed. If the product doesn't start when switched on the it is likely
that the blender jug, mill or it's lid are incorrectly fitted.
Never run the motor when the product is empty as this could damage the bearings.
CLEANING
1. Unplug the appliance from wall outlet before cleaning.
2. The cap, the jar lid, the jar and the blade can be washed under running water.
3. Wipe over the outside surface with a damped cloth and polish with a soft dry cloth.
4. Wipe any excess food particles from the power cord.
Caution: Never immerse the Motor unit or power cord into water for cleaning. It must only be
wiped with a damp cloth. We do not recommend putting the Coffee Grinder/Mill accessory in
the dishwasher as the high temperatures can dull the clear plastic lid.
Disposal of Unit
Disposal instructions for Swan items in accordance with the WEEE directive. Appliances bearing
the symbol shown here may not be disposed of in domestic rubbish. You are required to dispose
of old electrical and electronic appliances like this separately. Please visit
www.recyclemore.co.uk, or www.recylcenow.co.uk for access to information about the recycling
of electrical items. The WEEE directive, introduced in August 2006, states that all electrical items
must be recycled, rather than taken to landfill. Please arrange to take this appliance to your local Civic Amenity
site for recycling, once it has reached the end of its life.
