Installing the DLT Tape Drive into your Express5800 Server
Express5800 ES1400 or an Express5800 LS2400
If you are installing your DLT Tape Drive into an EXPRESS5800 ES1400 or an EXPRESS5800 LS2400
Server, it must be installed into Bays A and B of the removable media device cage (see below). If your
server’s CD-ROM drive is located in Bay A, move the CD-ROM drive to Bay C. Refer to the Upgrades
and Options chapter of your system user’s guide for information on removing and installing removable
media devices.

Note:
If your DLT Tape Drive is the last SCSI device
connected to the removable media devices SCSI cable,
remove terminators from any installed SCSI devices
connected to this cable and install the terminator
(supplied) to the end of the SCSI cable.
Express5800/120Mc2 or an Express5800/120Mc3
If you are installing your DLT Tape Drive into an Express5800/120Mc2 or an Express5800/120Mc3
Server, it must be installed into Bay A of the removable media device cage (see below). If your server’s
CD-ROM drive is located in Bay A, move the CD-ROM drive to Bay D. Install the CD-ROM drive in the
position shown in the illustration below. Refer to the Upgrades and Options chapter of your system user’s
guide for information on removing and installing removable media devices.
