INFORMATION FOR YOUR SAFETY!

THE FCC REGULATION WARNING (for USA)

Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

Power Supply

Please connect the designated DC adaptor to an AC outlet

of the correct voltage.

Do not connect it to an AC outlet of voltage other than that

for which your instrument is intended.

Unplug the DC power adaptor when not using the instru-

ment, or during electrical storms.

Connections

Before connecting the instrument to other devices, turn off

the power to all units. This will help prevent malfunction and

/ or damage to other devices.

Location

Do not expose the instrument to the following conditions to

avoid deformation, discoloration, or more serious damage:

Direct sunlight

Extreme temperature or humidity

Excessive dusty or dirty location

Strong vibrations or shocks

Close to magnetic fields

Interference with other electrical devices

Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience

reception interference. Operate this unit at a suitable

distance from radios and televisions.

Cleaning

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth.

Do not use paint thinners, solvents, cleaning fluids, or

chemical-impregnated wiping cloths.

Handling

Do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.

Do not let paper, metallic, or other objects into the instru-

ment. If this happens, remove the electric plug from the

outlet. Then have the instrument inspected by qualified

service personnel.

Disconnect all cables before moving the instrument.

CAUTION

The normal function of the product may be disturbed

by Strong Electro Magnetic Interference. If so, simply

reset the product to resume normal operation by

following the owner's manual. In case the function

could not resume, please use the product in other

location.

Setup

This section contains information about setting up your instrument

and preparing to play. Please go through this section carefully before

turning the power on.

Power Supply

You can power the instrument either by batteries or by power adaptor.

Before you switch your instrument on, turn down the volume of

instrument and the connected audio equipment first.

Using Batteries

The instrument requires six AA size or equivalent alkaline batteries for

power supply.

1. Open the battery cabinet cover located on the bottom of the

instrument.

2. Insert the batteries, carefully following the polarity markings on the

cabinet.

3. Replace the cabinet cover. Make sure it locks firmly in place.

Notes:

1. Do not mix used and new batteries.

2. Always use the same types of batteries.

3. Remove the batteries when the instrument is not in use for a long

period of time.

Using Power Adaptor

1. Before connecting to power supply, please set the [POWER]

switch to OFF and set the master volume to minimum level.

2. Connect the power adaptor to the DC IN jack on the rear panel.

3. Plug the power adaptor into an appropriate AC outlet.

Notes:

1. In order to save energy, the instrument will automatically shut down

after 30 minutes if it is not used. (Please refer to Auto Power Off).

2. For your safety, please unplug the instrument when it is not in use

or during a thunderstorm.

Setting the Music Stand

A music stand is supplied with the keyboard. You can easily attach it

to the instrument by inserting it into the slots at the rear of the panel.

Connecting a Pair of Headphones

A standard pair of stereo headphones can be connected to the

PHONES jack for private practice or late-night playing.

When a pair of headphones is plugged in, the internal speakers will

be automatically shut off, sound can only be heard from the

headphones.

Note:

To avoid the risk of hearing loss, do not use headphones at high

volume levels for a long period of time

Connecting a Sustain Pedal

A pedal can be plugged into the sustain jack and be used to switch

sustain on or off. You can assign different functions to the connect-

ed pedal in the Function Menu. Please refer to the Function Menu

for details.

Connecting a Computer

Use a standard USB cable to connect the USB jack of the instru-

ment to the USB port of a computer. With USB, you can save a

keyboard performance to the computer or use the instrument to

play back music played on the computer.

Note:

In case the instrument does not correctly transmit messages with

the computer via a USB3.0 interface, please use a USB2.0

interface.

Connections

Power Switch

Before connecting the power supply, please set the [POWER] switch

to “OFF” and set the master volume level to minimum.

1. Make sure the instrument is properly connected to power supply.

2. Press the POWER switch, the LCD screen will be lit and display

parameters, indicating the instrument is powered on.

Note:

If the LCD display does not light up after you turned on the instrument,

please check the power connection.

Adjust the Master Volume

Move the [VOLUME] slider upwards to increase the volume level, or

move the slider downwards to decrease the volume level.

Note:

If the speakers do not produce sound, please check if the master

volume is set too low or if headphones are plugged into the PHONES

jack.

Power Switch and Master Volume

The instrument features several beautiful demos.

Please refer to Demo List.

1. Press the [DEMO] button to enter the demo mode and start playing

all demo songs in a loop.

2. Use the data dial or the [+/Yes]/ [-/No] button to select a demo

song.

3. Press the [DEMO] or [START/STOP] button to stop playing, and

exit demo mode.

Playing Demo Songs

1. Press the [VOICE] button.

Enter the Voice Mode. The LCD displays the current default voice

name and number.

2. Select a Voice.

Use the data dial or [+/Yes]/[-/No] button to select a desired voice.

You can also use the Voice select buttons to select a voice. Each

button has two preset voices. Press it repeatedly to switch between

the first and the second preset voice.

3. Play the Voice.

Play the keyboard to use the selected voice for performance.

Note:

Each voice select button has two preset voices. Press the button

repeatedly to switch between the upper and lower preset voice. If you

select the upper voice of a button, pressing another button will also

select the upper voice of that button. In the same way, if you select the

lower voice of a button, pressing another button will select the lower

voice of that button.

Playing Voices

1. Press the [STYLE] button.

Enter the Style Mode. The LCD displays the current default style

name and number.

2. Select a Style.

Use the data dial or [+/Yes]/[-/No] button to select a desired style.

You can also use the Style select buttons to select a style. Each

button has two preset styles. Press it repeatedly to switch between

the first and the second preset style.

3. Play the Style.

Press the [START/STOP] button to start playing a rhythm.

Or you can press the [SYNC START] button, and press any keys to

start the rhythm playing.

Note:

Each style select button has two preset styles. Press the button

repeatedly to switch between the upper and lower preset style. If you

select the upper style of a button, pressing another button will also

select the upper style of that button. In the same way, if you select the

lower style of a button, pressing another button will select the lower

style of that button.

Playing Styles

This instrument features a variety of preset songs, and each song

can be practiced in Lesson Mode.

1. Press the [SONG] button.

Enter the song mode. It will play all songs circularly.

2. Select a song.

Use the data dial or the [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button to select the song

you want to play.

3. Press the [START/STOP] button.

It will stop song playback. Press it again, it will play the current

song repeatedly.

4. When song playback is stopped, press the [STYLE] or [VOICE]

button to exit the song mode.

Playing Songs

You can record your performance and save it to a user song.

1. Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [RECORD] button to enter

the user song menu. Then use the data dial or the [+/YES]/[-/NO]

button to select a user song to which your recording will be saved.

2. Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [RECORD] button to enter

recording standby mode. You can select the desired voice, style etc.

for recording.

3. Press the [START/STOP] button or play the keyboard to start

recording.

4. During recording, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [RECORD]

button to exit recording.

5. When exit recording, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [PLAY]

button to enter the play menu. Use the data dial or the [+/YES]/[-/NO]

button to select a user song. Again press and hold [SHIFT], then

press the [PLAY] button to play back the selected user song.

6. During playback, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [PLAY]

button to exit the playback.

7. In the play menu, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [RECORD]

button, it will prompt “Delete?”. You can press [+/YES] to delete the

current user song, or press [-/NO] to cancel and go back to the play

menu.

Recording

The instrument features a variety of exceptionally realistic voices. Please

refer to the Voice List.

Selecting a Voice

When power on, the “VOICE R1” icon will be lit and the LCD will display

the current voice name and number.

Use the data dial or [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button to select a desired voice. You

can also use the Voice select buttons to select a preset voice.

Note:

when the dual and lower function are in use, you can press the [VOICE]

button repeatedly to switch between Voice R1, R2 and L.

Playing Two Voice Simultaneously

The dual function allows two different voices to be layered together,

creating a much richer sound. Turn the function on, you can select a voice

for the dual voice "R2".

1. Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [DUAL] button to turn on the

dual function. The “DUAL” and “VOICE R2” icons light up and the LCD

shows the current dual voice number and name.

Use the data dial or [+/Yes]/[-/No] button to select a dual voice. Or

press one of the Voice select buttons to select a preset voice.

2. In dual mode, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [DUAL] button

to turn off the dual function. The “DUAL” and “VOICE R2” icons

become unlit.

Note:

When the lower and dual functions are in use, only the right hand area will

play the dual voice.

Playing Different Voices with Both Hands

The lower function splits the keyboard into the left and the right hand

areas, each playing a different voice. The left hand voice is the lower

voice “L”.

The default split point is F#3 (19) , however you can assign it to any other

key. Please refer to the Function Menu.

1. Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [LOWER] button to turn on the

Lower function. The “LOWER” and “L” icons light up and the LCD

shows the current lower voice number and name.

2. Use the data dial or [+/Yes]/[-/No] button to select a lower voice. Or

press one of the Voice select buttons to select a preset voice.

3. In lower mode, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [LOWER] button

to turn off the lower function. The “LOWER” and “VOICE L” icons

become unlit.

Playing the Voices

The auto accompaniment feature puts a full backing band at your

fingertips. To use it, all you have to do is to play the chords with your

left hand using your selected accompaniment style, and then the

accompaniment will automatically play along, instantly following the

chords you play. With auto accompaniment, even a solo performer can

enjoy playing with the backing of an entire band or orchestra. The

instrument features a variety of styles, please refer to the Style List. Try

selecting the different styles and enjoy the auto accompaniment.

Play Auto Accompaniment (rhythm track

only)

1. Press [STYLE] button.

Enter the style mode. The “STYLE” icon will light up. The LCD

displays the name and number of the current style.

2. Select a style.

Use the data dial or [+/Yes]/[-/No] button to select a desired style.

Or press one of the Style select buttons to select a preset style.

3. Start playing a style.

Press the [START/STOP] button to start the rhythm tracks of the

auto accompaniment. Also you can press [SYNC START] and then

play any key to start the rhythm tracks of the auto accompaniment.

Play Auto Accompaniment (all tracks)

1. Turn on the auto accompaniment function.

Press the [CHORD MODE] button to turn on the A.B.C. function.

The “A.B.C” indicator will be lit. The keyboard is split and the left

hand area is the chord section. You can play different chords in the

chord section.

Press the [CHORD MODE] button again to enter full range mode.

The “FULL RANGE” indicator will be lit. You can play chords over

the entire keyboard in multi-fingering.

2. Play auto accompaniment of all tracks.

Press the [SYNC START] button, then play a chord in the chord

area to start the auto accompaniment. When you play a different

chord, the accompaniment will change along.

Alternatively, press the [START/STOP] button to start the rhythm

part. Then play a chord in the chord section, the chord part will start

as well.

Accompaniment Sections

Specially created sections can be added into the accompaniment,

making your performance more professional and personalized.

INTRO Section

The Intro is an opening section of the song. When the intro pattern

finished, the system will automatically shift to the main section.

MAIN Section

The Main is the principal section of a song. It will play and repeat the

Main pattern until another section's button is pressed.

Auto Accompaniment

FILL IN Section

Auto fill in function automatically adds a fill to your performance. When

the fill-in is finished,accompaniment shifts to the Main section.

ENDING Section

The Ending is the ending section of a song. When the ending is finished,

accompaniment automatically stops.The length of the ending differs

depending on the selected style.

Playing Different Accompaniment Sections

1. Press the [STYLE] button.

2. Press a Style select button, data dial or [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button to

select a style.

3. Press [CHORD MODE] button to enter A.B.C. mode.

4. Press [SYNC START] button.

5. Press the [FILL A] button, select the Main A section.

6. Press the [INTRO/ENDING] button. Now the “A” indicator flashes on

LCD, and the style is ready to play.

7. It will start the accompaniment as soon as you start playing in Chord

section. When the playback of the intro is finished, it automatically

leads into Main A section.

8. Press the [FILL B] button. A fill-in plays, automatically followed by

the Main B section.

9. Press the [INTRO/ENDING] button to play an ending. When the

ending is finished, the auto accompaniment automatically stops.

Fade

1. Fade In

When style is stopped, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the

[FADE] button to turn on the fade-in function. When style starts

playing, the volume will increase from low to high and the “◢FADE”

icon will flash along.

2. Fade Out

During style playback, press and hold [SHIFT], then press the

[FADE] button to turn on the fade-out function. The volume will

decrease from high to low and the “FADE” icon will flash along

until the style is stopped.

3. Fade In/ Out Time

The default time value is 10 seconds.

Accompaniment Volume Control

The function will adjust the accompaniment volume, so as to keep an

appropriate balance between the accompaniment volume and the voice

volume.

1. Press and hold [SHIFT], then press the [ACCOMP +]/[ACCOMP -]

button to set accompaniment volume over the range of 0~32. The

LCD displays the current volume level.

2. Press and hold [SHIFT], then hold down the [ACCOMP +]/

[ACCOMP -] to make a quick change in the value.

3. When LCD displays the volume level, press and hold [SHIFT], then

press the [ACCOMP +] and [ACCOMP -] buttons simultaneously to

mute the accompaniment part. The LCD displays “OFF Accomp”. Do

the operation again to turn on the accompaniment volume.

Note:

It will automatically exit the setting if there is no operation in 5 seconds.

Auto Accompaniment

Chord Basics

A chord, in music, is a harmonic set of three or more notes that are

heard simultaneously. The most common type of chord is a triad. A

triad is a set of three notes that can be stacked in thirds. When

arranged this way, the triad's notes, from lowest pitched to highest, are

called: the Root, the Third, and the Fifth.

Triad Type

The basic triad types are as follows:

Chord Inversion

When a chord’s root is not the lowest note in the triad, it is called an

inversion chord. When the root note is the lowest note, it is called a

root-position chord. If we put the Third and Fifth in the root position, it

forms an “Inversion”, so it is called an “Inverted Chord”. A major triad

and its inversion are illustrated on the right.

Chord Name

The chord name consists of two parts: Chord root and Chord type.

A root with a major third added above and a perfect fifth

constitutes a “Major Triad”.

A root with a minor third added above and a perfect fifth

constitutes a “Minor Triad”.

A root with a major third added above and an augment-

ed fifth constitutes an “Augmented Triad”.

A root with a minor third added above and a diminished

fifth constitutes a “Diminished Triad”.

Single Finger

Single-finger makes it easy to produce major, seventh, minor and minor

seventh chords by pressing a minimum number of keys on the

auto accompaniment section.

Multi-finger

Multi-finger allows you to play chords in normal fingering. Try playing

the 32 types of C chords listed on the right.

Full Range

In Full Range mode, it detects chords played in normal fingering

(Multi-finger) over the entire keyboard range.

Auto Accompaniment

Tempo

Each style is preset with a default or standard tempo, however, you

can change it as needed.

1. Press the [TEMPO+]/ [TEMPO-] button to change the current

tempo. Alternatively, when the tempo is flashing on LCD, use the

data dial to make a quick change in the value.

2. Press the [TEMPO+] and [TEMPO-] buttons simultaneously to reset

the tempo to the default value.

Note:

When style stops, changing the style will automatically reset the tempo.

However, changing the style during style playback will not result in

tempo change

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [FUNCTION]

button to enter function menu. The LCD displays the current function

menu option. Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button to set parameter of the

current option.

Detailed parameters and their ranges:

Note:

It will exit the function menu if there is no operation in 5 seconds.

Tune

This function sets the pitch of entire keyboard by steps of cents.

1. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select the tune menu. The LCD displays

“xxx Tune”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change tune value. Its

range is from -50 to 50 cents.

2. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to set the tune

value to its default setting: 0.

3. The setting is applied to both accompaniment and the voice.

Split Point

This function assigns a key to split the entire keyboard into two areas.

1. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select split point menu. The LCD displays

“xxx Split Pt”. Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change

Split Point.

2. Press [+] and [-] buttons simultaneously to set the split point value

to its default setting.

Note:

The Split point belongs to the left hand area.

Beat Type

1. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select beat type menu. The LCD displays

“xxx Beat”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change beat type. The

range of beat type: 0, 2~9.

2. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously will set the beat

type value to its default setting: 4.

Pedal Type

1. Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select pedal type menu. The LCD displays

“001 Ped Sust”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change pedal type.

2. There are 4 types of pedal functions available. Default is Ped Sust.

EQ Type

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select the EQ type menu. The LCD displays

“006 EQ Reset”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change EQ type.

There are 6 EQ types available.

1. This instrument will automatically detect the type of the pedal

when power on.

2. Do not press the pedal when turning the instrument on, other

wise, the pedal function will be inverted.

Chorus Level

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select chorus level menu. The LCD displays

“xxx Chr Lev”, adjustable range: 0-32.

Use the [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change chorus level.

Press the [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to restore its

default setting: 0.

Reverb Type

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select reverb type menu. The LCD displays

“004 RevHall1”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change reverb type. The

default setting is Hall 1.

Reverb Level

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select reverb level. The LCD displays “xxx Rev

Lev”, adjustable range is: 0-32.

Use the [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change reverb level,

press the [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to restore its

default setting: 23.

Chorus Type

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select chorus type menu. The LCD displays

“004 ChrGMCr2”, Use the [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to

change chorus type, the default setting is GM Chorus 2.

The harmony types are as follows:

Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to restore its default

setting: Hrm Duet.

MIDI IN/ OUT

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select MIDI in/ out menu. The LCD displays

“xxx Midi In”/ “xxx Midi Out”.

1. Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change MIDI in channel:

1~16, ALL. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to

restore MIDI in channel to its default setting: ALL.

2. Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change MIDI out channel:

1~16. Press [+/YES] and [-/NO] buttons simultaneously to restore

MIDI out channel to its default setting: 1.

Auto Power Off

Press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then repeatedly press the

[FUNCTION] button to select auto power off menu. The LCD displays

“xxx PowerOff”.

Use [+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change the time setting: 30

minutes, 60 minutes or OFF. The default setting is: 30 minutes.

Mixer function adjusts separately the volume of different tracks.

1. Press the [MIXER] button to enter the mixer menu. The LCD displays

“030 Rhythm_s” for the initial time when power on. Next time when

you enter the mixer menu, it will show the same option of your last

operation.

2. Repeatedly press the [MIXER] button to select an option. Use

[+/YES]/ [-/NO] button or data dial to change the value.
