INTRODUCTION
If water intrusion occurs due to careless handling of the product, we shall not be liable
for any compensation for damage to the internal components (camera, batteries,
MicroSD card etc.) or shooting expenses arising from such intrusion.
We shall also not be liable for any compensation for damages (for unsuccessful shooting
and associated shooting expenses, profi t losses etc.) arising from failed shooting due to a
malfunction of this product.
Important Safety Information
DANGER
If any alkaline liquid leaking from the batteries gets into the eyes, immediately wash
the affected area well with a suffi cient amount of clean water without rubbing the
eyes, and then seek medical advice. If this is not done, blindness may occur.
Do not dispose of in fi re, heat, disassemble, or modify the batteries. Otherwise, the
insulator and gas valve may be damaged, resulting in leakage, overheating, or
bursting of the batteries.
WARNING
If water intrusion occurs, immediately turn off the power and remove the batteries.
Otherwise, a fi re or electric shock may occur.
Wipe the interior of the product and the camera fully dry, and consult the dealer
where you made the purchase as soon as possible.
CAUTION
Avoid subjecting the product to any shocks. Otherwise, the glass parts may break,
causing injury.
Do not reverse the polarity (+ and -) of the batteries. Reversal of the polarity (+ and -)
may cause overheating, leakage, or bursting of the batteries.
Do not use new batteries together with used batteries. Otherwise, the batteries may
leak or burst.
Store it in a safe place out of the reach of children and infants.
Note:
If you need to open and close the product, avoid wet and sandy places and observe the
following instructions.
* Wipe off all water from the product and buckle with a dry cloth.
* Wipe off all water and salt from your hands and body.
* Performing regular inspections
To prevent malfunctioning and condensation of the camera, do not open or close the
product in a wet or sandy place.
When the camera is housed in this product, do not use or leave the product in a place
exposed to strong direct sunlight or hot places such as in a vehicle on a hot day or
near a heater for an extended period of time. This may result in battery leakage.
Do not throw or drop the product. Otherwise, the product may be deformed and
malfunction.
Do not replace the batteries with wet hands. Otherwise, a malfunction may occur.
If a battery runs out, remove it from the product. If an exhausted battery is left
installed, the camera may be damaged due to leakage of the battery.
Follow local regulations when disposing of used batteries.
Moving the product directly from a cold place to a warm place may produce moisture
inside the product and lead to a malfunction. If condensation occurs, remove the
camera from the product, wipe the water off the product and camera with a soft dry
cloth, and dry them well.
Images may be blurry if shot underwater using the product.
You can record audio with the camera housed in this product but this will affect the
level of sound quality.
For maximum performance we highly recommend Shimano lubricants and
maintenance products.
Recording mode
It is recommended that you use Full HD mode when recording with the product.
Wi-Fi function
Only the REC button can be used when the camera is housed in this product. The Wi-Fi
function of the camera cannot be used when it is housed in this product.
Observe the following instructions to prevent water intrusion.
Do not place the camera equipped with accessories into this product.
Do not spray tap water on the waterproof gasket.
Do not damage or let any foreign object into the waterproof gasket.
Do not disassemble or modify the product.
Preventing condensation
With the cover open, put the product and camera into a refrigerator, and after
confi rming that the inside of the housing is fi lled with cold air, close the cover and
secure it with the buckle.
Use after inserting a commercially-available desiccant (silica gel) into the housing.
Do not use the product in the following places.
In water at depths of more than 60 m.
At temperatures of -10 °C or lower or +40 °C or higher, or in water at +40 °C or higher.
Do not store the product in the following places.
In places exposed to direct sunlight.
In damp or dusty places.
In places with insect repellents such as naphthalene.

may vary depending on the temperature, type of batteries
used and the operating conditions.
* Operating time is shorter than the times listed above when
operating in HD or WVGA mode.
Regular inspections
Be sure to read the following instructions before use.
Wipe water off the camera and battery box unit and dry them well before
attaching them to this product.
Before use, perform test shooting with this product to make sure that videos and
images can be normally viewed.
Before shooting, check that the camera operates normally in water at a depth of
approximately 1 m.
Check the product for any water intrusion before use.
Adjust the angle of view to 135° when using the camera. If it is not set to 135°,
the four corners of videos and images may appear black.
Note that you cannot operate the MODE button of the camera when using it
with this product.
Fully charge the camera battery.
If the battery is running out, you may not be able to record videos.
Installation
* Perform installation in a well-lit room without wind or moisture.
1. Keep the O-ring clear of dirt, dust, hair, sand, and any other foreign objects.
If a foreign object is found, be sure to remove it with a soft cloth.
When removing the object, be careful not to leave cloth lint on the O-ring.
2. Remove the lens protector from the camera.
3. Install AA batteries, observing the correct polarity as indicated by the + and -
markings on the battery box unit.
4. Open the back cover of the camera and connect the battery box unit to the Micro USB
plug.
To check the operation, check the state of the lamp (left).
* When the camera power is on, or is turned on, the lamp (left) will blink yellow for
approximately 10 seconds.
If the lamp (left) lights green: The battery box unit is connected normally.
The camera battery is fully charged.
If the lamp (left) keeps blinking yellow: The battery box unit is connected normally.
The camera battery is charged by the
battery box unit.
If the lamp (left) does not blink: The battery box unit is not connected.
Remove the batteries, and after waiting for about
3 seconds, correctly reinsert the batteries.
Observe the correct
orientation of the batteries.
5. Place the camera and battery box unit into this product.
6. Close the cover and secure it with the buckle.

* When submerging the product in water, do not throw but carefully lower it into
the water. Be sure to use a fi shing line of adequate strength.
* Use a marked fi shing line or counter-equipped reel to prevent the product from
sinking deeper than 60 m.

Operation
Adjust the angle of view to 135° when using the camera. If it is not set to 135°, the four
corners of videos and images may appear black. Note that you cannot operate the
MODE button of the camera when using it with this product.
1. Press the REC button once with the power
turned off.
2. Recording begins when the power is turned
on.
* Lamp display when recording begins
The lamp (left) blinks green for
approximately 2 seconds.
This indicates the supply of power, not the
remaining battery capacity.
Furthermore, the lamp (left) will blink
green regardless of the remaining battery
capacity.
Following this, after the lamp (left) blinks
yellow for approximately 10 seconds, the
lamp for the recording mode will start
blinking.
The lamp (right) shows the remaining
capacity of the SD card.
3. When the camera is recording, pressing the REC button once stops the recording.
4. Pressing the REC button once again restarts recording.
5. When the camera is on, holding down the REC button turns the camera off.
6. When the batteries still have some remaining capacity, the lamp (left) will blink
yellow and charging will begin. When the batteries run out, the lamp will not blink
and charging will not proceed.
Be sure to read the user's manual for the camera as well.
MAINTENANCE
Be sure to perform maintenance after use.
Before unfastening the buckle, clean the product with fresh water to remove salt and
sand and wipe any remaining water off with a soft dry cloth.
* It is advisable to immerse the product in fresh water for 30 to 60 minutes after use
in seawater. With the product immersed in fresh water, press the REC button a few
times. If any salt is left on the product, the metal parts may be damaged, resulting
in rust and water intrusion.
Wipe the interior of the product with a soft dry cloth. Do not wash the interior with
water.
Store the product with the cover open to prevent deterioration of the O-ring.
If the O-ring is damaged, contact the dealer where you made the purchase.
