Commander 3 QUICK STARTCommander 3 QUICK START
2. Ensure factoy air is applied to all ma-
chines.
3. Verify that all E-Stop butons are OUT
and Gates are CLOSED.
4. Turn the Electrical Disconnect to the ON
positions on each Electrical Cabinet in the
production line.
1. Verify the area of operation is clear
and safe to process doors
5. Turn the Control Circuit Switch to the ON
position. (Approximately 3 minute boot-
up)
6. Push the Stat Buton.
7. All Six Light Indicators Should be ON

Power-UP
Load Door Job from KvalCam
Commander 3 Quick rev 
1. Select the Libraries Tab at the upper let side of the
screen
2. Select the Door Job Libray Tab at the upper center
screen
3. At the table, double click the desired door job to go to
the Door Job screen
Verify Door Job
Ater Door Job is loaded, select the
Commander 3 Buton
Add Doors to Queue
Home the machine
(Impotant: Homing sets a stating
reference point for the machine.)
Verify the Door Job
speciications. Look for
validation errors.
1. Enter the quantiy of door to be processed in the Door
Qy box at the botom of the screen
2. Select the Add to Queue Buton
Adjust H-Blocks
Load Door and Jamb
1. If needed. adjust he H-Blocks.
1. Feed in a door to the machine.
2. Ensure Door is set and clamped in machine.
3. Place Jamb on the jamb shelf buted against the stop
4. Press Jamb Clamp foot pedal to clamp the jamb
The H-Block and Jamb Stop locations are compared to the last
Door Job that was processed.
The KvalCAM program will highlight any H-Blocks to be moved
(Orange background with an” X” H-Block Found ield).
In case of Let-Hand Doors, the Jamb Stop location will be listed
1. H-Block (Let edge of
block as reference)
2. If the current group cut
is completed, the next
group will automatically
load.
3. If needed, move the
highlighted H-Block to
the displayed postion.
4. If all groups are inished
and the Door Finished
Buton is active, the
door will feed out
5. If needed, move the
highlighted the H-Block.
6. Ater all groups are com-
pleted, the door will feed
out of the machine
About Hinge Block Displays
Indicates the H-Block was Found
Indicates the H-Block needs to be
adjusted
Indicates the H-Block is not recog-
nized by program.
Stat
This light turn on when
the Machine Stat buton is
pressed and the ACR Relay is
latched.
Stop
This light will be on if
Machine Stop buton is deac-
tivated.

E-Stop
If the light is NOT on,
ensure gates are closed and all
E-Stops are not activated
24VDC
Light turns on once the
ACR is latched and the 24VDC
Power Supply is working.
Powers the PLC.
Tips
Light NOT ON Steps to Ty
Control Power Check Main Power to the machine
Ensure the Control Circuit Buton is ON
Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Ensure the Disconnect Switch in the Panels is ON
Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Check Control Transformer
Over Load Relay Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Check Overload Relays on Contactors
E-Stop Ensure ALL E-Stops are in the OUT position.
Ensure ALL Safey Gates are closed and Light Cutain feedback is error free.
Tech:(Lock/Tagout) Check resistance of E-Stop circuit
Stop Ensure Stop Buton is not stuck
Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Check resistance of Stop circuit
Stat Ensure Stat Buton is making connection
Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Check ACR Circuit
24VDC Tech: (Lock/Tagout) Check voltage into and out of the 24VDC power supply
About the 6-Lights
Light turns on when the Control Trans-
former power is working, Indicates power
on seconday side-of transformer and High
Power is apllied to all components
Control Power
The overload circuit is working when
light is on.
verload Relay
High Voltage may cause injury or death.
Troubleshooting checks must be performed
by a Qualied Electrical Technician.

H-Block Position: Indicates
the forecasted position of
the H-Block. See color coding
below for actions to take.
Hinge Enabled/Disabled: Select to enable or disable H-Block feedback. The cuting action will not process when disabled.
The H-Block section will turn gray when disabled but keep values from the door job to use if enabled. To enable or disable all
H-Blocks, select the buton located next to the Jamb Pin Conigure section.
Depth Adjust: Compensates for View
depth preset values or adjust values for
each Hinge.
About the Background Colors
No Adjustment. Green back-
ground and a check mark
indicates the H-block is in the
correct position for this Door
Job.
Adjustment Needed. Orange
background and an X indi-
cates the H-block is not in the
correct position and must be
moved to the position indicat-
ed in the feedback.
H-Block not Used: Using the
Door Job information, this
H-Block is not used in the ma-
chining procedure.
H-Block not Sensed: Displayed
only if previous location of
data is not saved or any door
job has not been run.
H-Block Found: Display s status of H-Block
