The Tracking Unit Release Switch
is spring-loaded, so the Tracking
Unit should easily slide out when

The Base Station contains a
Bluetooth signal that converts
your home into a safe zone.

Troubleshooting Tip: An unplugged Base Station may generate a false “Away”
reading in thinking your dog is on the loose.

CHARGING
Each LED light on the Base
Station represents approximately
25% battery charged on the
Tracking Unit.
We recommend charging for at least
30 minutes before your first use, as it
arrives with less than a full charge.
The charging pins on the
Tracking Unit should align to
the pins on the Base Station.

COLLAR QUANTITY SERVICE PLAN
Enter how many collars you will
be activating
Select your Service Plan Term
Each Tracking Unit will require its own
LINK AKC service plan. For multiple
Tracking Units, you will receive a 30%
discount on the service plan.
The Service Plan enables data to be
transmitted from your dog’s Tracking
Unit to a cellular network. This allows
you to know your dog’s location,
activity levels, and so much more, all
through your LINK AKC app.

Activate Your Tracking Unit
Follow the in-app guided steps
Turn your Tracking Unit ON
You will see a green light flash
and hear a series of beeps.
Place your Tracking Unit
on the Collar Carrier.
Slide the Tracking Unit into
the Carrier gently until it
locks in place. Slide switch to
release it.
Pair your Tracking Unit
Place your Tracking Unit next to
your phone and select your Tracking
Unit ID to activate. Wait for the
blinking light on the Tracking Unit
to confirm pairing.
(You can find the collar ID on the
bottom of the Tracking Unit)

Troubleshooting Tip: If you do not see your Tracking Unit’s LED light blinking, make
sure that your Tracking Unit and your smart phone’s Bluetooth are both on.

Customize your App
Setting up your dog’s profile
SETUP YOUR DOG’S PROFILE
Enter your dogs name, age,
weight, gender and breed.
For breed, you can enter one breed,
or select a mixed breed. If you do not
know the breed, just select the
“mix” button.
We will ask questions about all mixed
breeds to help us provide your activity
recommendation.

Make sure your phone’s
Bluetooth is still on.
Set Up Your Base Station
Follow the in-app guided steps
Name your Base Station
Name it something that will
help you know where your dog
is, i.e. “home” or “family room”
Place your phone near your Base
Station and select your Base
Station’s ID to register from the
Bluetooth list.
(You can find the Base Station ID on
the bottom of the Base Station)
