the work surface with the power ca-
ble.
~Keep the device out of the reach of
children.
Risk to or from pets and
livestock
~Electrical devices can represent a
hazard to pets and livestock. In ad-
dition, animals can also cause dam-
age to the device. For this reason
you should keep animals away from
electrical devices at all times.
Risk of electric shock due to
moisture
~The device must never be operated
in the vicinity of a bathtub, a show-
er, a filled hand basin or similar.
~The base, the power cable and the
mains plug must not be immersed in
water or any other liquids.

power cable.
~To avoid any risk, do not make
modifications to the device.
Risk of injury from cutting
~The blades of the blade cones are
sharp. Please be very careful when
handling them. When washing
manually, the water should be suffi-

blades easily.
Risk of material damage
~Do not use hot ingredients.
~
In order to prevent damage to the de-
vice, interrupt the cutting process im-
mediately if the blade cone is either
turning with difficulty or not turning at
all. Pull out the mains plug and check
if there is an obstruction in the filler
chute. Also check whether the device

7.1 Preparing food
Risk of material damage
~Thick or firm peels (e.g. of kohlrabi,
pumpkin) must be removed before
spiral cutting.
Wash vegetables and fruit thor-
oughly and rub them dry. Remove
stems and buds, leaves, and the
core if you wish.
Vegetables and fruit are optimal in long
pieces with a diameter of 1.2 - 2.4in.
Food with a smaller diameter may not
be held firmly enough by the pusher
1
.
Select pieces of vegetables or fruit
that are as firm as possible.
Cut the vegetables and fruit into
pieces suitable for the filler chute2
by carefully cutting off the edges.
Straighten the end to be attached to
the pusher1 by cutting off the end.
This allows the food to be firmly at-
tached to the pusher1.
Small seeds (e.g. apple seeds) can
be removed from the bowl12 by
hand after spiral cutting.

7.2 Select blade cone
Which blade cone A/B/C6 is most
suitable depends on the properties of
the food, and in particular its firmness.
The following table contains some ex-
amples for orientation. The firmness
may vary depending on variety and
ripeness, however.
7.3 Assembly and Operation
1. Place the bowl
12
into the base
10
.
2. Remove the desired blade cone
A/B/C6 from the blade store11
and place it onto the cone holder4.
3. Figure A: grip the cone holder4
firmly and rotate the blade cone6
counterclockwise until it stops.
4. Figure B: place the filler chute2
with the assembled blade cone6
into the holder8 of the base10.
The arrow symbol 33 must point
to the open lock symbol 7.
Turn the filler chute2 counterclock-
wise until the arrow symbol 33 is
pointing at the closed lock
symbol 7. The filler chute2 clicks
audibly and palpably into place.
5. Spear your vegetable or fruit firmly
on the pusher1 and then place the
pusher1 complete with the food
into the filler chute2 as vertically
as possible. In this way you will
obtain nice long “noodles”.
6. Connect the mains plug13 to the
wall socket.
7. Switch on the device using the on/
off button I/|9 (I). The LED in the
button is lit.
8. Start the spiral cutting of the food
by carefully pressing down the
pusher1.
For continuous spirals, apply con-
sistent pressure; to obtain shorter
“noodles”, occasionally interrupt
the pressure.
9. Switch off the device using the on/
off button I/|9 (|). The LED in
the button goes out.
10.Disconnect the mains plug13 from
the wall socket.
11. Remove the filled bowl12 and
empty it.
12.Clean the device as soon as possi-
ble after use.

8. Cleaning
Clean the device prior to its first
use!
Risk of electric shock
~Pull the mains plug13 out of the
wall socket before you clean the
Spiral Cutter.
~The base10 and the power cable
with the mains plug13 must not be
immersed in water or other liquids.
Risk of injury from cutting
~The blades of the blade cones6 are
sharp. When washing manually, the
water should be sufficiently clear
that you can see the blades easily.
Risk of material damage
~Do not use any astringent or abra-
sive cleaning agents.
TIP: certain food or spices (e.g. carrots,
curry) may discolour plastic. This is not
a defect with the device and harmless to
health.
After every use
Clean the device and all individual
parts used after each use and re-
move all food residues.
Turn the filler chute2
clockwise until
the arrow symbol
33 points to the
open lock symbol 7. Pull the filler
chute2 off upwards.
Prior to cleaning, all parts must be
separated (e.g. separate the blade
cone6 from the cone holder4).
Remove fruit and vegetable rem-
nants from the blades of the blade
cones6 using a dish scrubber, a
small bottle brush or similar.
Base unit
Wipe off the base10 and the pow-
er cable13 using a lightly moist-
ened cloth. Dry with a dry cloth.
In the case of stubborn food resi-
dues, add a little mild detergent to
the damp cloth. Ensure that the
damp cloth is not dripping wet!
Disassembling the ball-bearing
ring
Figure D: grip the filler chute2
firmly and rotate the ball-bearing
ring5 counterclockwise until the
cone holder4 and ball-bearing
ring5 can be removed from the fill-
er chute2.
Cleaning the ball-bearing ring
The ball-bearing ring5 can be cleaned
with clear, warm water and some deter-
gent.
TIP: for the balls to continue sliding
freely, the ball-bearing ring5 must be
cleaned in clear dishwater. This pre-
vents dirt from reaching the bearings.

Manual cleaning
1. Figure C: grip the cone holder4
firmly and rotate the blade cone6
clockwise until it separates from the
cone holder4.
2. The accessories (pusher1, filler
chute2, cone holder4, blade

cleaned with warm water and a lit-
tle detergent.
Clean the blade cones6 carefully
using a dish scrubber, a small bot-

3. Afterwards, rinse all parts with
clean water.
4. Allow all parts to dry completely
before you assemble them, put
them away, or use the device
again.
Assembling the ball-bearing ring
1. Figure E: place the ball-bearing
ring5 into the cone holder4. The
balls point downwards to the cone
holder4.
2. Turn the ball-bearing ring5
together with the cone holder4
clockwise until it stops, so that it is
screwed on the filler chute2.

9. Storage
Risk for babies and children
~Keep the device out of the reach of
children.
~
In order to avoid accidents, the mains
plug
13
must never be connected to a
wall socket while in storage.
Figure F: wind the power ca-
ble13 around the cable rewind14
at the underside of the device.
Select a location where neither high
temperatures nor moisture can af-
fect the device.
10. Disposal
This appliance must not be disposed of
as household garbage.
If the electrical appliance is no longer
be used, it must be handed over to the
relevant local public waste authorities
for disposal.
As a rule, these waste disposal authori-
ties run special reception units for elec-
trical appliances (recycling centers,
materials recovery centers etc.).
