· Ability to Home on either camera with alarm override
· Field Adjustable Alarm hold timer
· Variable dwell time
· High quality Color Video operation
· Uses a standard RJ12, 6-6 telephone jack for Alarm inputs
· Can be used with a standard 6-4 telephone phone jack if the internal contact closure is
not used
The CATS-2 is designed to accept a remote contact closure for each video input. When
the desired contacts are closed by a button or relay, the appropriate picture is selected. A
master timer is then activated that can be adjusted to guarantee that the picture remains
on the screen for the desired hold time. An internal contact is also closed that can be
used to activate a VCR, a door chime or any controllable external device.
Each switcher should contain each of the following items:
·Instruction sheet
·Power Pack
·Switcher
If the CATS-2K was purchased you will also receive a RJ12 6-6 wall jack and a 6-6 cable.
The CATS-2 Switcher is a 2 input, alarming sequential switcher with many quality
features:

Cable Requirements:
The cable run from the phone plate should not exceed 300 feet and it is recommended
that 24 GA wire or larger is used. Do not connect the wires for the alarm to any other
piece of equipment or voltage source as you may damage the inputs to the alarm circuitry.
If you provide the cable , it must have a reversal in wire. (Example).
If a RJ-12 6-4 cable and wall plate is used, the contact closure control for the VCR will be
disabled.
Note:
1) Some blocks are wired differently. It is important to follow the color code, not the screw
number on the block.
2) For RJ12, 6-4 there will be no white or blue wires for contact closure out.

a small screwdriver adjustment that will vary the timer. See Fig. 3
Operation:
1) Connect the power supply to the switcher by pushing the power connector into the rear
of the switcher until it can go no further.
2) Plug in the power pack to a 115VAC source. Turn on the switcher by rotating the “Scan

this knob.

sequence at the rate set by the knob.
4) 1 or 2: Will freeze the scan to the selected position.
