The Schwaiger HDFS100 511 is a wireless HDMI sender and receiver that allows you to transmit high-definition audio and video signals from a source device to a display device wirelessly. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing HDFS100 HDMI Wireless sender. Your satisfaction
is very important to us. HDFS100 is designed to make the use of your HDTV
equipment more comfortable.
HDFS100 is the ideal product for HD wireless application. Sometime you will
find cable connection is not suitable, long HDMI cable is not available, or
cable connection is not an option. You can use HDFS100 for you HD wireless
application. For example, Home Theater, cross room HD wireless, meeting
room, or game room application.
HDFS100 is designed with IR extending function. You will find easier remote
control experience with the IR extending function when you try to control
your Satellite Receiver, BD player or other source player.

CONNECTION & OPERATION
Connection
Step 1: Use HDMI cable to connect the HDMI IN of HDFS100 Transmitter to a
Source device (Satellite receiver, CATV STB, BD player, PS3, XBox…),
if you want to watch the source program on the same time , you can
use another HDMI cable connected the HDMI OUT to display (HDTV).
Step 2: Use HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT of HDFS100 receiver to a
display device (HDTV, Projector…)
Step 3:
Connect the IR emitter to the HDFS100 Transmitter. And then place the
emitter probe in front of the source device’s IR receiver. Connect the IR
receiver to the HDFS100 Receiver. And then place the receiver probe in
front. (If you do not need the IR extending function, please skip step 3)
Step 4: Connect a DC 5V/1A power adaptor to the Power Jack (MicroUSB) of
HDFS100 Transmitter.
Step 5: Connect another DC 5V/1A power adaptor to the Power Jack (Micro
USB) of HDFS100 Receiver.
Step 6: Connection Finish. If you can not get image on your display device,
please pairing the TX and RX first.(Press the MODE key of RX box and
then press the MODE key of TX box).
Operation
A. Installation
1. Make sure your input AC voltage conforms to the adaptor specifications.
2. Only use the power adaptor provided with the HDFS100. If you use your
own adaptor, make sure the power output is 5V DC, 1A centre positive.
3. With direct line-of-sight, the maximum range of A/V signal transmission
can reach up to about 100 feet, and this distance would be shortened by
obstacles or walls placed between transmitter and receiver. (The optimum
indoor range is under 30M)
4. To ensure good infrared remote control operation aim your remote control
at the IR Probe of the HDFS100 and press the buttons firmly. (With some
remote controls it may be necessary to press and hold each button for
about a second). The working angle of the IR Probe is +/- 15 degrees.
5. The remote controller has to be used within the distance of (from remote
control to receiver) not less than 0.3M and no more than 5M (working
angle +/- 15 degrees).

B. TX & RX Pairing MODE
1. First Press “MODE” key on the Receiver BOX.
2. You will see message “Connecting through Pairing ...” on screen
3. And then Press “MODE” key on the Transmitter BOX.
4. for a second, and wait for Atuo connection.
C. IR Extending function
1. Make sure the IR emitter Probe have been installed properly on the Trans-
mitter Box.
2. Make sure the IR receiver Probe have been installed properly on the
Receiver Box.
3. Use the remote controller of your source device to control the source form
the Receiver Box.
Note:
Please do not cover both HDFS100 Transmitter and Receiver with any
object. Because those object could block the air circulation.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
1. When there is no picture presented, please:
Make sure the direct connection from source device to sink device can
work properly.
Check if all connectors are connected well; check if all cables can support
the transmission speed. High Speed HDMI cables are recommended.
Unplug the power cable to restart HDFS100.
2. When there is no sound:
Please try to adjust the volume of TV.
Check cable connection to see if it fits properly.
Check cable to see if it supports video transmission only (DVI) or it is
damaged already.
HDCP may not match very well at first connection; please unplug the
power cable to restart HDFS100.

3. When there is no 3D effect, please:
Make sure 3D function of 3D TV (or 3D DLP Projector) is activated
(set to AUTO or 3D ON).
Make sure 3D function of 3D source device is activated
(set to AUTO or 3D ON).
Make sure power of shutter glasses is on.
Check the power of HDFS100.
If the 3D HDTV requires an active shutter glasses for 3D viewing,
please make sure the active shutter glasses can match with the 3D TV.
If the 3D HDTV requires a passive shutter glasses for 3D viewing, please
make sure the passive shutter glasses can match with the 3D TV.
4. If the image is unstable, or snowing image shows on screen.
You might get interference form other wireless device or heavy power
consumption house ware (ex. WiFi Router, Microwave, air condition-
er…). Please keep HDFS100 away from those sources of interference.
The wireless transmission distance may be too far or blocked by wall
or other object. Please place HDFS100 at other location where you can
get good signal and video quality.
Please change the direction of Transmitter and Receiver to get better
reception.
5. If the wireless connection fails.
Please make sure the power of source device which you want to use is
turned ON.
Unplug the power cable to restart HDFS100.
6. IF the IR extending function is not work.
Check if the IR emitter is connected to the HDFS100 Transmitter, and
place the emitter probe in front of the source device’s IR receiver.
The IR extending function of HDFS100 can work with 30~60kHz IR
remote control system. Some IR remote control systems use other
frequency, or the IR signal pulse is too short that will not work with IR
extending function.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION!
Installation must be carried out by competent persons. Before setting up and first using the
unit, please read and follow the safety instructions carefully.
Safety and installation information
All of our products at the time of purchase conform to the currently applicable safety regula-
tions and are, when used as intended, completely safe! Please heed the following information
to avoid any potential dangers, damage or faults:
Set-up information
The heat generated when the unit is in operation must be dissipated by adequate air circula-
tion, so the unit must not be covered up or situated in a closed cupboard. To avoid both the
equipment damage and possible subsequent damage, only designated equipments should be
installed on a flat surface for wall mounting.Make sure that the ventilation slots and the cooling
unit on the device are not covered, e.g with newspapers, table cloths or curtains. This could
possibly lead the device to fire.
As the unit generates heat, this can lead to discolouration on the surface of furniture. Make
sure there is at least 10 cm of clearance around the unit. Radiators or other heat sources in the
vicinity of the unit can lead to malfunctions or damage the unit. You must not place any open
fire sources, such as burning candles, on top of the unit.
The unit must not be located in rooms with a high level of humidity e.g. kitchens, bathrooms
etc, as condensation or splashing water may damage the unit. The unit is designed for use in
dry, temperate environments. If the unit is moved from a cold to a warm place, condensation
may form inside the unit. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight. Do not place any containers
holding liquids, e.g. vases of flowers on top of the unit. These might fall over and the liquid
may cause serious damage or lead to a risk of electric shock. The unit must not be set up in
the vicinity of appliances that generate strong magnetic fields (e.g. motors, loudspeakers,
transformers).

Information on the mains connection
For units that are supplied with a mains adaptor, only use the original mains adaptor supplied
with the unit! The mains adaptor/mains plug must only be connected to a 110-230V~ 50/60Hz
mains supply The mains adaptor/mains plug must be easily accessible at all times so that the
unit can be unplugged from the mains outlet. Only connect the mains adaptor/mains plug to a
correctly installed power outlet! Avoid using multiple sockets! The mains adaptor/mains plug
must only be plugged in once installation has been completed according to the instructions.
The unit must not be used if the mains adaptor/mains plug is faulty or the unit is damaged in
any other way. Should any liquids or foreign matter accidentally get into the unit, unplug the
mains adaptor/mains plug from the power outlet immediately. Have the unit inspected by a
qualified engineer before using it again. Under no circumstances should you open the unit or
the mains adaptor ñ this must only by carried out by a qualified engineer. Do not let unsu-
pervised children tamper with the unit. Do not let foreign objects, e.g. needles, coins etc fall
into the interior of the unit. Do not touch any contacts on the unit with your fingers or metal
objects. This could cause a short circuit. Before cleaning the unit, it must be unplugged from
the mains outlet. To clean the unit, use a soft dry cloth. Never spray cleaning agents directly
onto the unit. Do not use any cleaning solutions that might damage the surface of the unit. Do
not handle the unit when your hands are wet due to risk of electric shock! In the case of any
faults or smoke and odours coming from the unit, unplug the mains adaptor/mains plug from
the power outlet immediately! If water or foreign objects get into the inside of the unit or if the
unit or mains adaptor have been damaged, you must not use the unit or you must unplug it
from the mains outlet immediately. The unit must first be inspected or repaired by a qualified
engineer (technical customer service) before being used again. The system must be installed
in accordance with current national safety regulations for electrical installations, or installed by
a qualified engineer. To avoid dangerous over voltages (e.g. fire danger and danger to life), the
connected devices on the earthing must be respected.
Information on handling batteries
Also remove the batteries (if present) from the unit or remote control, as they could leak and
damage the unit. Normal batteries must not be charged, heated or thrown into an open fire
(risk of explosion!). Do not throw used batteries in the household refuse. Batteries are hazar-
dous waste and must be disposed of accordingly.
CE-mark
The unit carries the CE mark and thus conforms to the fundamental requirements of the Euro-
pean directives 2004/108 EC for EMC and 2006/95 EC for LVD.

Disposal information for packaging
Packaging materials can be recycled and should always be submitted for recycling. Packaging
materials such as plastic bags do not belong in the hands of children.

The guarantee period begins with the purchase of the product. Please confirm this with your
proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, delivery receipt etc.). Please keep these documents in a
safe place. Our guarantee is based on our guarantee conditions in force at the time of pur-
chase. In the case of a necessary repair, take or send in the unit to your specialist dealer.

This warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship.

device, you will be provided with a cost estimate.
