'Safety Precautions' are designed to assist in safe and proper use of the product and prevent

potential accidents or dangers. Please comply with all warnings and cautions at all times.

Safety Precautions are classified as ‘Warnings’ and ‘Cautions’ and have the following meanings.

Warnings

Failure to observe the safety instructions within this category could result in serious injury or death.

Do not operate while driving.

Operating the device while driving could

lead to accidents due to a lack of attention

to external surroundings.

First park the vehicle in a safe place

before operating the device. Drive only

after completing device operations.

Do not stare at the device while

driving.

Staring at the screen for prolonged periods

of time could lead to traffic accidents.

Always comply with actual traffic

conditions and regulations.

Voice guidance and map screens provided

by the system may differ from actual road

conditions. Always follow actual traffic

conditions and regulations.

Adjust the volume to appropriate

levels.

Do not raise the volume excessively.

Excessive volume levels could lead to

accidents.

regulations or actual circumstances.

Cautions

Failure to observe the safety instructions within this category could result in accident related injuries or vehicle damage.

Do not use the system with the engine

idle for prolonged periods of time.

Do not use the system for long periods

of time with the engine off.

Such use may be the cause of battery

discharge.

(In ACC ON state, the battery will continue

discharging even if the head unit power is

turned off by pressing the power button

at the front of the head unit.)

Do not subject the device to severe

shock or impact.

Such acts could be the cause of product

malfunctions.

Do not disassemble, repair or modify

the device.

Such acts could result in fires or

electric shock.

When cleaning the device, turn off the

device and use a dry and smooth cloth.

Never use tough materials, chemical cloths,

or solvents (alcohol, benzene, thinners, etc.)

as such materials may damage the device

panel or cause color/quality deterioration.

Heed caution not to spill water or

introduce foreign materials into the

device.

Turning the System On

1. Press the engine start button to turn the system on.

Once the system is turned on, the logo and safety warning

screens are displayed.

2. Press [Confirm].

To change the system language, press [Language].

Information

Operations are unavailable while the system is booting. Some time

may be required until all features are ready for use.

•

Carefully read the Caution Screen as it provides important information

related to system operation and safety.

A sudden output of extreme volume upon turning the device on could
