Procedure
1.Placetractoronaatandlevelsurface,turnoffthe
engine,removetheignitionkeyandsettheparking
brakeON.
2.Allowengineandmufertocoolbeforeproceeding
withrepair.
3.RefertotheOperator’sManualintheServicesection
underCuttingDeckRemoval.Removethecutting
deckfromunderthetractor.
4.Itisnotnecessarytoremovetheupperdrivebelt
fromthetwoidlersorleftsidespindlepulleyonthe
deckforthisupgrade.
5.RefertoFigure1(Seebacksideofthissheet).Relieve
remainingspringloadingonthetwoidlersshown.
Thismaybeaccomplishedbyunhookingthesmall
diameterspring,“A”,fromtherearcornerofthe
rightsidepulley/beltcoverandremovingoneofthe
boltsfromeitherendofspring“B”.

9/16inchsocketandratchet,removeanddiscardthe
112–5833shoulderbolts,atwasherandlocknuts
securingbothidlerstothedeck.
2.RefertoFigure1.Re-assembleeachidlerusingthe
newhardwaresuppliedasshowninFigure1forthe
appropriateidler.
