Installation guide of miniEngine USB

miniEngine USB is an external USB MIDI host sound module which works stand

alone. Do not connect miniEngine USB directly to computer USB port, it won’t

work if you use miniEngine USB this way.

miniEngine USB can only work in 2 ways,

1. Connect a USB keyboard directly to provide sound for a USB MIDI keyboard to

play without computer.

2. Works as a standalone sound module to provide sound for MIDI device by

connecting to special 5 din to 3.5 cable, which include in package.

Trouble shooting

 if you find there is no sound after connecting USB MIDI keyboard to USB host of

miniEngine USB, Please check the output is connecting to a headphone or power

speaker, miniEngine USB doesn’t provide speaker itself to provide sound, you can

only hear the sounds from headphone or external speaker.

 If you found sounds from miniEngine USB hanging after playing notes, you need to

reset miniEngine USB, you will need to turn off then turn on unit again or you can

check new firmware in our website if your unit is U26 version or above, by checking

the LED screen when unit is turn on.

 The DIN MIDI jack did not work??

There is a special MIDI 5 din to 3.5 headphone plug cable for MIDI input, you can

only use this cable to use MIDI in function, if you don’t find this cable or find it is not

working properly, please write an email to inf[email protected]om.tw. We will send you a

replacement cable.
