Introduction

The Glow Sun Scrim is the perfect professional mobile tool for taming glaring sun and

reducing contrast during your photo or video shoot. The kit consists of a collapsible

aluminum frame that can be easily assembled and tted with interchangeable light modi-

fying, light absorbing or opaque screens to transform any kind of strong light source from

hard to soft, natural to articial. The convenient size of our Glow Sun Scrim helps any

photographer master the harsh nature of a powerful light source into a wide variety of

diffused illumination solutions. Even the most severe, direct light is changed into a gentle

and controllable source for still or video photographers as it reduces the intensity of any

sunlight and lters softly on subjects being lmed or photographed.

The cleverly constructed lightweight 1 inch tubular anodized aluminum frame is hinged

and jointed to form a stable rectangle, reinforced to hold its shape with 2 self-locking

levers. Two sliding clamps grip the frame to link the frame handle bar, for attaching to

the support stand of your choice, at any angle, to add to its effectiveness. The frame folds

down to a at, transportable and storage friendly compact size, in its own 40” x 7” x 7”

zippered bag.

The main diffusion material is a translucent silk type fabric that is wrapped onto the

constructed aluminum frame and Velcro fastened. The kit includes a reversible silver tone

fabric for powerful and effective ll-in control on one side and a solid white fabric that

acts as a perfect bounce tool for striking product and people shots with dimension, on the

other. It all collapses to t into a handy carrying bag, making it extremely portable and

fast to set up.

Instructions

Here’s How To Assemble

• First, remove the

contents of the carry-

case: Aluminum Frame,

Frame Handle, and

Fabrics

• Take the collapsible

tubular aluminum frame

and unfold it, snapping

each joint open, to form

the 39x62” rectangle.

• Two positional clamps

with sockets for the

frame handle are

afxed to the long side

of the frame. Loosen the

winged knob on each

and slide each clamp

along the long pipe of

the Sun Scrim frame

about midway.

• Loosely tighten the

winged knob clamp in place to the frame.

Make sure that the side of the clamps with the

socket holes are facing out.

• Take the aluminum frame handle and insert it

into the opening of the rst clamp. Tighten it

into place with the wing knob.

• Take the other end of the frame handle and

insert it in the second clamp opening and

tighten both sides into place.

• Take the diffusion material

of your choice, and attach

it, by wrapping it on to

frame using the Velcro

strips. Fasten the panel

gradually, to allow for the

even placement along the

frame, without causing

stress to the assembly.

• The assembly is complete

for placement and posi-

tioning.

• When nished using the

scrim, simply remove the

fabric from the frame, press

the release lock buttons

on the frame, and fold the

structure on each hinge to

prepare it for safe storage.
