Wall-mounting instructions
Now that your new 30cm Metal Wall Fan is assembled, it is ready for wall-
mounting to an appropriately sturdy wall that can support the weight of the
fan and has a power point in easy reach.
Hold the mounting plate of the fan to the wall in the
position where you want to mount it. Mark the two
positions for the screws through the screw holes,
which should be 8.5cm apart.
Drill two holes into the wall with an 8mm drill bit
and insert the supplied wall plugs.
Attach the mounting plate to the wall and secure it
with the supplied 8mm screws.
Insert the power plug into a 230V 50Hz electrical
outlet and switch on power at the outlet.
Your new 30cm Wall Fan is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT!
For the best airflow angle and cooling results, we suggest installing the
fan at a height of 180 to 200cm above ground.
Ensure you are mounting the fan in a safe location on the wall; do not
mount it directly above a bed, cot or similar location.
The 30cm Wall Fan features three speeds and can be set to oscillate. Once it
is securely installed on a wall, operation is controlled by the two pull cords.
Left pull cord: On/Off/Speed
Pull the left power cord gently to switch on the fan. Pull it again to select a
different fan speed (low, medium or high), or to switch off the fan.
Right pull cord: Oscillation
Pull the right pull cord, gently, to activate fan oscillation. Pull it again to stop
oscillation.
Instructions
WARNING!
Never attempt to touch a fan blade, or insert an object through the
safety grilles during operation -- risk of injury!
Do not pull the cord too hard, otherwise it may break. Should this
happen, contact our after sales support centre for advice on repair or
replacement.
Other Useful Information
Cleaning and maintenance
Dusting: Clean your fan periodically by lightly running a vacuum cleaner
nozzle (soft brush) over the front and rear grilles to remove any dust or dirt
that may have accumulated inside or on the unit. Alternatively, use a soft,
dry cloth or feather duster for dusting.
Stubborn stains: Use a slightly damp, soapy cloth for stubborn stains but
be sure the cloth is not too wet. Use caution around the motor housing
area. Do not allow the motor or other electrical components to be exposed
to water. Dry thoroughly.
To remove dirt or stains from the blades, take the fan off the wall and
disassemble it following the wall-mounting and safety grill assembly
instructions in reverse order. Take care with the blades -- do not drop them!
Storage
If you want to store your fan in the off season, take it off the wall and
disassemble it following the wall-mounting and safety grill assembly
instructions in reverse order.
Keep the fan in a safe, dry location, protected from dust. We recommend
using the original carton for storage. Alternatively, place a larger plastic bag
or old towel over the top of the cleaned appliance for dust protection.
Service/repair
The appliance requires no maintenance and contains no user-serviceable
parts. Do not attempt to take it apart, repair or modify it.
Do not operate the fan if its power cord or plug is damaged, or when it is
working abnormally. In case of damage or malfunction, or if the cord is
damaged, have the unit repaired by appropriately qualified personnel only,
or contact the after sales support line for advice on repair or replacement.
WARNING!
Before cleaning, maintenance or moving the fan, and before removing a
front or rear grille, switch off the fan and unplug it from the wall outlet.
Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquids. Do not spray it with
liquids. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.
Never use petrol, solvents, harsh detergents, or abrasive or alkaline
cleaners on the fan.
