8.1 Assembling of KIT 0349 302 208 to increase stability of LAY 500 power source
KIT ASEMBLY INSTRUCTION
1. Put the power source LAY 500 on the even surface and block rear wheels.
2. Lift the front of LAY 500 and disassemble both wheel sets.
3. Assemble the bracket and both wheel sets by means of screws disassembled earlier (4 pieces) and
screws from the kit (8 pieces) to LAY 500 unit.

Warning: When the unit is tilted by more than 10

during operation, there is a risk that it might fall
over. In order to increase stability of the unit when holder with support arm of wire
feeder is applied, the kit presented above shall be assembled. The kit shall be assembled
according to the attached instruction.

INSTRUCTION FOR INSULATION RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT.
It is recommended to measure the insulation resistance at least every 2 years, and also after each repair of
the machine.
The insulation resistance measured with 500V megaohm meter should not be lower than:
- 5,0 MOm between input circuit (mains plug L1, L2 or L3) and output circuit (output terminal XB1 (+))
- 2,5 MOm between input circuit (mains plug L1, L2 or L3) and control circuit (terminal X1 for connecting wire
feeder)
- 2,5 MOm between input circuit (mains plug L1, L2 or L3) and housing (grounding pin)
- 2,5 MOm between output circuit (output terminal XB1 (+)) and housing (grounding pin)
- 2,5 MOm between control circuit (terminal X1 for connecting wire feeder) and housing (grounding pin).
To perform the measurement:
Mains power switch Q1 must be set to position I (ON), contacts of contactor K1 must be shorted, shorten
contacts of terminal X2 on LA07 board, switch Q2 must be set to position I (ON), shorten “+” and “-“ output
terminals, shorten contacts of terminal X1.
After the measurement the machine must be returned to its initial status.
/
