The hob unit is intended for ordinary
household cooking purposes. Any
other use can result in damage to the
unit as well as personal injury.
During deep-fat frying, sauteèing,
melting of butter, etc., one must always
remain near the unit, due to the danger
of fire. In the event of fire the unit
must be shut off immediately (and the

Make sure that the unit is shut off
when not in use - the knob should rest
at “0”.
The unit becoms dangerously hot
during use, and remain so for a period
of time. They should therfore be
treated with due respect. Keep children
at a distance.
Never place plastic or paper, ect., on
the unit. If the unit should be switched
on by accident, the paper could burn,
plastic melt, etc.
For hygienic and safety reasons the
unit must be kept clean. Grease, oil
and food spills create unpleassant
odours when burnt, and can in some
cases result in open flames.
Read - and adhere to - the user`s
instructions, as well as any instructions
and warnings printed on the labels of
the cleaning agents used.
Help to avoid accidents; if the hob unit
should ever be discarded, render it
useless by removing the cable, or by
cutting the cable as close to the unit as
possible.
Product liability
Our liability is limited to that which is
stipulated by law, and covers only
damage to persons and property, which
results from defects in materials and
workmanship of the unit itself.
This liability extends for a period of 10
years from the date of purchase as a
factory-new unit.
Reservations
Our liability does not apply in the
event that the damage in question is
due to any of the following conditions:

the unit are non-original, i.e.,
unauthorized.
In addition to our liability with respect
to transportation damages applies
only to transportation which is carried
out by our service organization, or a
representative authorized by us, and
does not apply to subsequent
transportation on the part of the buyer,

which departs from ordinary common
sense.
Field of application
The hob unit is intended for normal
household use only.
It is important to follow the
instructions set forth in this pamphlet
in order to avoid damage to persons
and property, including the unit itself.
If the unit is used for any purpose
other than that for which it is intended,
the warrenty and product liability is
automatically invalidated.
Positioning
It is advisable to place the unit near an
out-of-the-way, or closed corner, with
space on either side on which to rest hot
cooking utensils. The unit should not be
placed at a heavily-trafficed or open
corner, nor in a passageway.

Maintenance and cleaning
For reasons of hygiene and
safety, the cooking zones
must be kept clean. Grease
stains and spilled food
generate smoke when heated,
and can even cause fire.
Taking off the panel
You can take the panel off, which
makes it easier to clean the surface.
What to do:
1. Hold the panel as shown in the
diagram
2. Lift the panel straight up
3. Clean the top surface as shown
under “cleaning the steel
surface”
4. Replace the panel in position
MAKE SURE that the panel is
turned the right way
Never use hard or sharp
implements to lift off the
panel.
Do not wash the panel in a
dishwasher.
May not be used with the
panel off.

The glass grill requires cleaning every
time it is used. Pour a bit of water
containing liquid AJAX, washing-up
liquid or similar detergent onto the
glass surface while it is still hot or turn
the grill element on for a short while.
Leave the water to boil up and clean
using a washing-up brush, wiping
clean with a clean cloth or a bit of
kitchen roll. In case of heavy grease
liquid cream cleaner may be applied to
the glass plate.
Cleaning the Frame and
Control Panel.
Clean the frame and control panel with
a cloth soaked in hot water containing
washing-up liquid, liquid AJAX or a
similar detergent.
Take care not to turn on the grill
element while cleaning the panel.
Never use scouring powder,
easyclean steelewool, metal scouring
pads or other scratching detergents.

Hints on the glass ceramic hob
Your glass ceramic hob is durable both
hot and cold and can take heavy loads.
However, as is the case with other
hardened glass materials, spot loads
may damage the hob, for instance if
the salt mill falls down from the herb
shelf and hits it in an unfortunate way.
Warning
If visible cracks appear in the surface,
the apparatus must be disconnected
from the mains immediately.
Spillages of plastics and other meltable
materials such as sugar and food
containing sugar (also applies to food
with a natural sugar content to which
no extra sugar has been added), such
as marmelade, jam, fruit juice, etc.
must be wiped off the ceramic hob
while still hot.
Failure to do this will cause the hob to
peel and crack.
Use the enclosed scraper and polish
with cream cleaner afterwards.
Any cooking utensils which have been
into contact with the above mentioned
materials must be cleaned thoroughly
before being placed on the ceramic
plate.
The warranty does not cover
damage to the glass ceramic hob
which can be attributed to any of the
above events.
10
Grilling techniques
Using the grill
The figures 1-12 are grilling
temperature settings. The temperature
increases from 1 to 11 with automatic
control. The 12 setting indicates the
highest temperature.
This setting is ideal for, forinstance,
preheating the grill.
The table shows the approximate
settings for the different grill dishes.
NB! Pre-heat the grill element for
about 5 minutes at setting 12.
New Features of the Glass
Grill.
The new feature of the glass grill is the
grilling of whatever is being prepared
directly on the glass plate. The glass
grill is particularly suitable for grilling
meat, not least fine and lean meat.
However, fish and bread are also ideal
foods for the glass grill.
The advantage of the glass grill is that
the juices stay with the meat. This
ensures that the meat does not go dry,
but stays juicy and delicious.
On the other hand, the glass grill is not
suitable for grilling very fatty foods as
too much fat gathers in the grooves
without the perfect grill result being
acheved.
However, the glass grill offers other
options. The hot glass plate really does
justice to a large, oblong fish pan. The
glass grill is also the ideal heating
plate for pans and dishes.

Recipe for poached salmon in fish pan:
Poached salmon is a delicious choice,
ideal for cooking in a fish pan on the
glass grill. Mix about 1,5 litres of
marinade of 100 g sugar, 200 ml
vinegar, water, 2 bay leaves, pepper
corns and slices of lemon.
Poach the salmon in the marinade. Set
the glass grill on 12 until boiling
temperature is reached after about 12
minutes. Reduce to simmer. The
salmon is ready to serve after about 35
minutes. Butter-sauteed speciality
potatoes in parsley are the perfect
accompaniment to the dish. Green peas
and sauce hollandaise may also be
served.

Installation
The hob unit can be mounted in any
type of kitchen with a table surface
whose thickness is between 28 mm and
40 mm.
Clearance
The distance between the top side of the
tabletop and the carpentry underneath
must be at least 45 mm.
Fixing
Screw the fixing brackets out to such an
extent that they can be turned in under
the table top. Tighten the brackets on to
the table top with an ordinary
screwdriver.
Cut-out measurements
One rectangular hole is sawn out for the
hob combination chosen.
The depth of the cut-out for any unit is:
490 mm
Length of hole = sum of all units`
externally measured lenght, less 20 mm.
Mounting of Reinforcement
Beams
A reinforcement Beam, with supporting
flanges at each end, is included with
each two-burner unit. For unit
combinations, a reinforcement beam
must be used between each unit. It is not
necessary to attach the reinforcement
beam to the table surface, as it is held in
place by a specially designed moulding,
which is incorporated in the hob unit´s
flanges.
