DIGITAL METER WITH PRE-SET MODULE

for TAF-4 Wire Feeder

INSTALLATION

To prevent accidental electric shock, be sure control cable is dis-

connected from power source or interface box before working in-

side the wire feeder.

1. Make sure control cable is removed from the Power Source or Interface Box.

2. Remove the blank panel from the upper left corner of the front panel of the wire feeder. Retain the screws for

installing option module in step 5.

3. Remove the outer cover of the wire feeder.

4. Install the digital meter option module in the opening where the blank panel was removed. Install the intercon-

necting cable supplied with the option module between P1 of the meter board and P3 of the speed control board

(PCB1). Secure the meter option module with the four screws removed from the blank panel. Refer to Figure 1 for

installed position.

5. Reinstall the outer cover of the wire feeder and reconnect control cable.

SETUP

The meter will read PRE-SET wire speed when not feeding wire and ACTUAL wire speed when feeding wire.
