1. For Household Outdoor Use Only –DONOTuseindoors or in any type of enclosed area suchasagarage,
shedorbreezeway.Keepclearoftreesandshrubs.Thesideburnersarenotintendedforinstallationinor
onrecreationalvehicles,portabletrailers,boatsoranyothermovinginstallation.Notforcommercialuse.
2. Theareasurroundingyournewsideburnershouldbekeptcleanandfreefromflammableliquidsandother
combustiblematerialssuchasmops,ragsorbrooms,aswellassolvents,cleaningfluids,andgasoline.
3. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury from breathing toxic fumes and from explosion and fire as a
resultofleakinggas,useonlyoutdoorsinanopenareawithgoodventilation.Donotobstructtheflowof
combustionandventilationair.
4. Never use the side burner in windy conditions. If located in a consistently windy area (oceanfront,
mountaintop,etc.)awindbreakwillberequired.Alwaysadheretothespecifiedclearanceslisted.
5. Donotleavethesideburnerunattendedwhilecooking.
6. Donotusenaturalgasinaunitdesignedforliquidpropanegasorviceversa.
7. Donotusefuelsuchascharcoalbriquettesonthesideburner.
8. Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromhotburner.DONOTallowchildrentouseorplaynearthesideburner.
9. Neverattempttorepairorreplaceanypartofthesideburneryourselfunlessspecificallyrecommendedin
thismanual.Allotherservicesshouldbeperformedbyaqualifiedservicetechnician.
10. Never lean over an open side burner. Do not place clothing or other flammable material on or near the
burner.Donotwearloose‐fittingclothesorlongsleeveswhileusingthesideburnerassomefabricscanbe
highlyflammable.
11. Have an ABC fire extinguisher accessible. Never attempt to extinguish a grease fire with water or other
liquids.
12. Neverusealuminumfoilontheburnergrids,thiscanalterairflowforpropercombustionandalsobuildup
heatinthecontrolareacausingtheknobsandignitertomelt.
13. When using the side burner, do not touch the burner grid or immediate surroundings as these areas
becomeextremelyhotandcancauseburns.
14. DONOTallowgreaseorotherhotmaterialdrippingfromtheburnerontovalve,hoseorregulator,turnoff
gassupplyimmediately. Afterthesideburnerhascooled,determinethecauseandcorrectit.Aftercleaning
thevalve,hoseandregulator,performaleaktestbeforecontinuinguse.
15. Donotheatanyunopened glassormetalcontaineroffoodonthesideburner.Pressuremaybuildupand
causethecontainertoburst,possiblyresultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordamagetothesideburner.
16. Keep any electrical supply cords away from water or heated surfaces. Electrical cords should be placed
awayfromwalkwaystoavoidtrippinghazard.
17. Keepgassupplylinesasshortaspossible.
18. Nevermovethesideburnerwhenhot.
19. DONOTusewhileundertheinfluenceofdrugsoralcohol.
20. DONOTstoreasparegascylinderunderornearyoursideburner.
