ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Remove :I'RIMMER from carton and examine it thoroughly to
make sure It is not damaged.
Remove and discard protective plastic clips Inserted in
handle tubes before assembly of trimmer.
TOOLS NEEDED FOR ASSEMBLY
* Medium Phillips screwdriver
= Adjustable wrench or pliers
ATTACHING THE ASSIST HANDLE AND TUBES
Attach the assist handle tothe upper tube beforejolnlngthe
tubes together(Fig. 1).

2. Slide the handle uponto uppeft_be_ " ' " .
3. Place boltintohandle, attach wingnut andtighten.
4: Slide lower_ubeinto upper tube and aE,gn holes.
5. Insert twoscrews through tubes, attach Iocknuts.and tighten
(Rg.2).
6. Adjust positionofassist handle to conformto heightand arm
length.
RETAINING EXTENSION CORD

1. The WE.EDWACKER will stir up dustparticles which may get
into your eyes. Wear safety goggles toprevent this. When you
cut to the LEFT SIDE, your WEEDWACKER willsling partioles
FORWARD, away from you. When you.cuttothe RIGHT SIDE,
itwill slingparticles BACK toward you. ALWAYS CUT TO THE
LEFT SIDE ONLY.
2, Your WEEDWACKER can slingobjects withadequate vetoctty
to cause harm to ut.hers. It will ALWAYS sling small particles
of dirt. KEEP PEOPLE AWAY FROM YOU when using your

REWINDING SPOOL
..... When rewinding be s_re to Windthe line in the directionofarrow
indicated on spool (Fig.6) Plastic isa memorymaterial and the line
should be recededform the original coiltothe spoolin a way so the
built-inmemory tbndstokeep the coilstightto the spool, ifyou recoil
in theopposite direction the coils wouldbe loose and tend to come
unwound. To secure line tospool, place tape over approx. 1_,_"of
line, then secure tape to ,s_f. Line must be,wound side by side
avoidingcrossoveror crisscrossingtoinsureproperlineadvancing,
Do not wind more than a total of 40 feet Qfline onto spool.
