Your mobile phone has 23 keys and can be
divided into two parts:
Number/letter keys, 12 keys in all
Control keys, 11 keys in all
There are 12 number/letter keys and they are
arranged according to a specific rule. There are
10 number keys from [0]~[9], and the other two
keys are [*] and [#].
The keys in the keypad area allow you to enter
numbers or characters. Depending on the screen
envi ronm ent, the same key ma y rep r esen t
different output values as shown in the following
table:

Red key in the right part of the keypad, it is the
end key also.
Press to power on the phone when the phone
turn off. Press and hold during the charging
process.
Press and hold to power off the phone in
any states.

called the Green key or Send key. Press this key
to answer an incoming call or dial a number.
The left soft key is in the upper left corner of the
keypad and the right soft key is in the upper
right corner of the keypad. Their functions are
indicated at the bottom of the screen. According
to different program to running operation function.
There are four navigation keys, namely, Right,
Left, Up and Down.
Scroll to show the letters/symbols available
for selection in the editor.

Scroll to view menus and lists through the
candidate lines in phonetic (Pinyin) or stroke
input mode.
Scroll to read messages or other long texts.
Scroll to see the next picture when browsing
pictures.
Note: The [Up]/[Down] keys feature an auto-
repeat function: A long press on one of the two
keys is equivalent to pressing it repeatedly, i.e.
when you press the keys long enough such that
it exceeds the preset time, the auto-repeat
function of the key will be activated. The interval
for auto-repeat is preset and you cannot modify
it.

The key in the center of the four navigation keys
is also known as the Middle key. By default, the
key is used to confirm a selection.
When the flip is closed and the earphone
is inserted, a short press on the key allows
you to answer an incoming call.

"Up/Down" Side Keys
When the flip is closed, a long press on the
key will stop ringing/vibration/ backlight
when there is an incoming call, regardless
of whether the earphone is inserted or not.
When the flip is closed and the earphone
is inserted, a long press on the key will end
the current call.
During a call, short press can be used to
adjust the volume of the earpiece or
earphone.
When the flip is closed, a long press on the
"Up" side key will lighten the white signal,
a short press on the "down" side key can
inquire about current status of the phone,
rega rdle ss of whet her t he ea r pho n e is
inserted or not. The blue light indicate that
the phone is on and work well, and the red

light indicate that there is "missed call"
message or new message.
When the phone is in the idle mode, you can:
Press the Answer key to access the Dialed
Calls list.
Short press [OK] key to access the main
menu.
Press the Up key to access the call list.
Press the Down key to access the
phonebook list.
Press the Left key to visit WAP.
Press the Right key to access the SMS
menu.

Press the left soft key to access the main
menu.
Input the telephone number with the number
keys, dial a number or display a menu.
Use the user-defined hotkey (see "Hotkey
Setting").
Press [OK] key to access the first level
menu.
Press the right soft key to access 'SOS'.

This mobile phone features single LCD screen .
The LCD screen has a 128 (W) x 160 (H) pixels,
and features CSTN technology with 64K colors.
The icons are only available under idle mode,
to indicate the current status of the phone, such
as battery level, network signal, etc.

There are two scenarios in
the G PRS m ode (m utua lly
exclusive):
The GPRS network is available,
but you have not logged on
to the network; or GPRS
network is available, and you
have logged on to the network.
This icon is displayed when
you are logged on to the
ne t wo rk , a nd wi l l not b e
displayed when you are not
logged on to the network.

Multimedia
messages
(MMS)
These two icons respectively
indicate that there is at least
one u n rea d M MS in t he
Messages list and the MMS
memory is full. If the memory
is full and at the same time,
there is an unread MMS, only
the memory full icon will be
displayed.
Short

(SMS)
These two icons respectively
indicate that there is at least
on e un re a d SMS in t h e
Messages list and the SMS
memory is full. If the memory
is full and at the same time,
there is an unread SMS, only

Voice Mail
Indicates there is an
unprocessed voice mail.
Alarm
Clock
Indicates that the alarm
clock event is activated.

The phone will vibrate
whenever there is an
incoming call.
Call
Forward
Indicates that call- forwarding
function is activated.
Silence
Indicates that the silence
mode is activated.
Black list
Indicates that the black list
is activated.
VIP list
Indicates that the VIP list is
activated.
Missed call: Indicates that you have missed
an incoming call. You can press [OK] to see it
or press End key to return to idle mode. If so,
this prompt icon will no longer appear again.

received new SMS or MMS message(s).

You can press [OK] to see it and press End
key to return to idle mode. If so, this prompt
icon will no longer appear again.
Orga nize r ale rt: L o wes t pri orit y. Whe n
there is an event of higher priority, only an
alert tone will sound. The screen will not
display the organizer alert icon. The
organizer alert screen will only be displayed
after you exit from other events of higher
priority. Press [OK] to see it and press End
key to return to idle screen.
In idle mode, press the Send key to access the
list of dialed numbers.
Scroll up and down to select the desired number
and press the Send key to make a call.
Dialing a Previously Dialed Phone Number
1.Direct the anode/cathode with metal strips on
the battery to the four metal chapiter of groove
of the phone.
2.Insert the battery into the battery compartment
and push down until snap it into place.
Push the small release lock (at the bottom left
of the battery) upward and outward to release
the battery. Gently lift the battery from the phone.
SIM cards are available at your service provider.
A SIM card keeps track of your phone number
and your personal information, etc. It can be

used in any GSM phone.
Ensure that the phone is switched off.
Remove the back cover.
Remove the phone battery.
Insert the SIM card horizontally into its slot
with its gold contacts facing down (towards
phone) and the notched corner at the top
left corner.
Slide the SIM card into its slot until it engages.
Insert the battery.
Replace the back cover of your phone:
Hook the cover onto the groove on the top
of the phone. Press and push the small
latch at the bottom of the cover (towards
the phone) until it latches.
Switch off the phone and remove the back

1.5 Charging the battery

The only way to turn off the charger is to unplug
it, so use an easily accessible AC power socket.

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable battery.
A new battery is partially charged and an alarm
will warn you when the battery reaches low. We
advise you keep the battery attached to the
phon e, ev en wh en di s cha r ged : the b acku p
battery for the clock (inside the phone) will last
longer.

on the phone, plug the charger(supplied with
the phone, in the box) into the right hand socket
at the base of the phone as shown below.

We recommend that you do not remove the
battery when the phone is switched on:
you may lose all your personal settings (see
information on battery safety).

Press the Power key, either briefly or long, to
turn the phone on. Press and hold to turn the
phone on during the charging process.
When the power-on animation is displaying,
you can press any key to stop the animation.
Your phone is then ready for your next operation.
You can use PIN (Personal Identification Number)
to protect your SIM card from unauthorized use.
Once the PIN is activated, you will be required
to enter the PIN code at the time your phone is
turned on.
Enter the PIN code. For the sake of
confidentiality, the code is displayed as a
group of "*" in the screen.
2. Basic operation
2.1 Turning the phone on

Press [OK] key to confirm. The phone will
start registering itsel f wit h the n etwo rk
after the PIN code is validated.
When the name of network you use is displayed,
you can make or answer calls. Otherwise, you
need to register again.
If you enter a wrong PIN code 3 times,
the SIM card will be locked. In this case, you
have to contact your SIM card supplier.
Under normal circumstances, press and hold
the Power key will turn the phone off.

network name displayed on the screen).
Enter a phone number.
Press Send key to dial directly or go to the
options menu and choose Call or IP Call.
Call option has the same function as Send
key. If you choose IP Call and have entered
the IP number (e.g., the China Mobile IP
phone code is 17951) in the phonebook
list, your phone will automatically add this
IP code in front of the number you entered
and proceed to make the call.
Press the right softkey or the Power key to end
a call. Or just close the flip to end a call.
In idle mode, press and hold the "*" key
until "+" is displayed.
Enter the nation code.
Enter the region code (normally without
the preceding "0") and the phone number.

Press the Send key to send the call, or access
the Option menu to select Call or IP Call.
You can put the first call on hold and make a
new call.
Use the "Call options" menu to put the first call
on hold. Select a number from the phonebook
or dial a number directly from the keypad.
Press the left softkey or the Send key to dial
the number.
You can switch between two incoming calls, i.e.
one being hold and the other active, by use of
"in-call menu".
To answer an incoming call:

2.4 Answering a call
To refuse to answer an incoming call:

If call waiting is subscribed, when receiving the
second call, the display will prompt you to:
Put the first call on hold and then answer
the second one,or
Press the Power key to end the first call and
then answer or refuse the second one.
Your phone adopts the T9 entry system.
When using your mobile phone, you may need
to input text from time to time, such as names,
SMS and text in the notepad, group names, etc.
T9 Predictive English (T9eng/T9Eng):
Allows you to use the T9 predictive English
input method;
Mult i-Tap (a bc/A BC): P ress t he key
corresponding to the letter you wish to enter.
To answer the second call:(network dependent)
2.5 Text entry methods
To enter the first letter on the key, press the
key once. To enter the second letter on the
key, press the key twice quickly, and so on
until all the letters you need are displayed
on the screen.
Numbers (123): Allows you to enter
numbers.
Press the "*" key to switch from one entry
method to another in an editor. Press the "*" key
repeatedly to scroll through all entry methods.
Press the "#" key briefly to switch between the
capital letter and the corresponding small letter.
In any input mode, you can press "#" key briefly
to access the symbol screen (except in English

To input a symbol, press the number key
according to the desired symbol. If there are
too many symbols to fit within a screen, you
can press Up/Down keys to scroll through the
pages.
When the input line is not empty,pressing
Right softkey will delete the first letter or symbol
from the right until the input line is cleared.
Meanwhile the contents of the candidate line
will be up date d unt il th e ent i re in put l ine i s
deleted. A long press on Right softkey will clear
the entire input line.
When there are texts in the candidate line and
the input line is empty, pressing Right softkey
will clear the contents of the candidate line.
When both the input and candidate lines are
empty, a short press on Right softkey will delete
the character to the left of the cursor in the text
Deleting input contents
area, or the character to the right of the cursor
will be deleted if there is no character on its left.
A long press on Rig ht so f tkey wil l del e te al l
contents in the text area. When the text line is
empty, another short press on Right softkey will
allow you to exit from the current editor and
return to the previous state.
This feature allows you to enter each desired
letter of a word by pressing its corresponding
number key just once without having to consider
the order of the letter on the key. The possible
letter combinations will be displayed in the
input line. (If there is an Up/Down arrow to the
right of the line, it means there are other choices
and you can press the Up/Down keys to select.)
After finish entering an English word, press [OK].

The word will be inserted with a space after the
cursor position in the text area.
This feature allows you to input directly within
the text area.
Press the key that contains the letter you want
to input. Press once if such letter is in the first
position. Press twice to display the second
letter, and so on, until the desired letter is
displayed.

Press the numeric keys [0]-[9] directly to add
the desired number to the text area currently
being edited.

You can store a list of names and phone numbers
in the phonebook of either the SIM card or your
phon e. Yo u can a lso s earc h, ad d, re v ise o r
delete any information in you phonebook or use
it to make speed dialing or send text messages.

during the initiation process at the time the
phone is turned on.
There are two types of phonebook, i.e. in SIM
card (SIM card capacity dependent) and in the
phone (supporting up to 500 entries), different
with respect to contents and the way of use,
yet mixed in one list. An entry in the SIM card
memory has a SIM card icon on the right, while
an entry in the phone memory has a type icon
on the right.
