General Information
DEVA Device Manager is software to control several devices from DEVAs wide range
product line. Developed to support an increasing demand for data processing applications for FM
Monitoring, DEVA Device Manager is fully compatible with:

Conformable to the level of access of each device, DEVA Device Manager automatically adjusts
to the constraints dened. It switches instantaneously to the desired frequency and overviews all
the predened parameters as values or as a graph, distributed over time. The map interface shows
you at a glance the status of your radio network. It also displays all the critical events or alarms
that might have taken place and need to be checked immediately. The easy-to-use interface allows
quick and easy connection to all of the controlled devices.
DEVA Device Manager is mouse navigated and utilizes user-friendly controls and drop-down
menus. The Mouse clicks and sliding, control the movement of the data cursor for instant readout
of both the X and Y axes. The software enables the user to dene both minimum and maximum
threshold values for all time series functions.
Aimed at facilitating the use of our products, DEVA Device Manager Software is free of
charge. The latest release can be found on our website www.devabroadcast.com . The downloaded
software can be used by customers who have an already installed DEVA Device Manager, for the
purposes of software update or by clients who have recently purchased a DEVA device.
This Manual is intended to:

Loading and Running The Software
DEVA Device Manager Software is provided to our customers free of charge. The latest release
can be found on our website www.devabroadcast.com

INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE
The installation process is fairly simple and identical for all supported by the software devices.
1. Use the Installation le downloaded from www.devabroadcast.com/downloads
2. Find DEVA Device Manager le, double click on the installation le to launch the Wizard;
3. Accept the default recommendations and click “Next>” in the end of each step;
4. When asked to place an icon on the Desktop of your computer and Install TAP Drivers, make
sure that the check boxes are enabled and click “Next>”;

NOTE: The TAP Drivers should be installed in order for the computer to communicate with
the device trough the USB port. If you have already installed the TAP Drivers on your PC, disable
the corresponding box and press “Finish”. If not, continue with the steps below:
5. Click Install to continue with the installation process;
6. TAP Windows Setup Wizard will appear. Click “Next>”;

7. Accept the License Agreement;
8. When asked to select the installation components check the “TAP Virtual Ethernet Adapter
box and click “Next>”;

9. Accept the default recommendations and click “Next>” in the end of each step;
10. Click “Finish” to complete the TAP Windows Setup Wizard;
11. Finally, launch the program.

DEVA Device Manager Software Update
This document is intended to guide you through the update process of the DEVA Device Manager
Software. Following the steps listed below will ensure that the used devices will be retained in the
computers memory and used later on. Otherwise the currently entered information will be lost.
PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that a master password will be required for some of the steps
listed below.
1. DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION
The latest version of DEVA Device Manager Software can be found our website -
http://www.devabroadcast.com/downloads
2. EXPORT DEVICE LIST
Prior to the installation of the new version the Device List should be exported.
Click on “Device” menu and select “Export Device List”;
Enter your Master password and press [OK];

3. EXPORT ALL LOG FILES
The menu path is: Log Manager > Viewer > Export all button.
4. MAIN APPLICATION SETTINGS
If you have made any changes to the software’s main application settings, please write them
down. As upon update, all custom settings will be lost. The main settings can be found in the
relevant menu placed in the menu bar.

5. BACKUP INDIVIDUAL DEVICES
In order for the custom applied Software settings to the Device to be preserved (if considered
needed) - signal appearance and common visuals for example, backup of the devices included in
the Device list should be made. A master password will be required. The menu path is (as depicted
below) Device > Settings > Backup.

6. UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS VERSION
Uninstall the previous version of the DEVA Device Manager.
7. INSTALL LATEST VERSION
Following the simplied process, install the latest version of the Software. If you are experiencing
any problems, please refer to DEVA Device Manager Software complete user manual, section
Loading and Running the Software.
8. POSSIBLE RESTART
After the installation process is completed, a shortcut to DEVA Device Manager will appear on
the desktop of your PC. Double click on the icon to start the program.
Only if any general changes in the new version of the DEVA Device Managers code have been
made, a notication message informing you that the currently available data is not compatible with
the current version, and will be archived will appear. If so, click ‘OK” and start the software again.
Having the latest LOG les downloaded, and the device list exported will prevent loss of
important data.
If due to any reason you have not performed any of the above cited procedures, please contact
9. IMPORT DEVICE LIST
Click on “Device” menu and select “Import Device List”;
Select the desired le and press [OK];
The information will be transferred and displayed on DEVA Device Manager main window.
