Instructions: Model SFC Floating Canopy
CAUTION:
Turn off power at main service panel prior to installation.
1. From a junction box, draw 12 volt 12 gauge wires from a remote transformer through the
large hole of the combination bar. Attach the combination bar to the junction box using two
screws through the slotted holes. Set alignment of the combination bar and fully tighten
screws. Open the appropriate breakout on the canopy for the track you will be mounting(up
to 4 tracks).
2. To power track, you may wire the transformer output wires directly into a live end
connector .For more than one track, cut lengths of 12 gauge wire so that about 2protrudes
from the canopy .Secure each set of wires to a live end connector (see Powering Track
Section).
3. Secure the canopy to the combination bar using two screws, through the round holes.
Elevate and support the track(s), then join to the live end connector(s). push excess wires
and live end connector(s) into the breakout(s).
4. Finish by securing the track to the ceiling/mounting surface (See Track Mounting Section).
Save these important safety instructions
Read all instructions
Do not install this track in damp or wet locations.
Do not install any fixture assembly closer than 6 inches from any curtain or similar
combustible material.
Disconnect electrical power before adding to or changing the configuration of the track.
Do not attempt to energize anything other than lighting track fixtures on the track. To reduce
the risk of fire and the electrical shock, do not attempt to connect power tools, extension
cords, appliances, and the like to the track.
Do not connect the track to more than one branch circuit unless the track is constructed so
that it can be used with more than one branch circuit. Check with a qualified electrician.
Although the track lighting system may seem to operate acceptably, a dangerous overload
of the neutral may occur and result in a risk of fire.
When feeding track from secondary side of transformer, do not use wire smaller than
12 gauge wire.
The low voltage miniature track system has a maximum capacity of 240 watts on a run for
12 volt systems and 480 watts on a run for 24 volt systems.
