#6-3141 ELECTRIC LIFT KIT FOR
TURF CRUISER / TRAIL CRUISER UTILITY VEHICLES SERIES 1
INTRODUCTION: This Electric Lift Kit was designed to assist the tilting of the cargo bed when dumping small
loads. This kit requires two adults to assemble and install.
WARNING
DO NOT attempt any adjustments, maintenance, repairs, or service with engine running. Stop engine. Engage
parking brake. Remove key. Remove spark plug wire and secure wire away from spark plug. Engine, muffler
and surrounding areas are extremely hot. Avoid serious burns; allow components to cool down before
installing kit. Replace worn or damaged parts prior to operating. Use approved fuel container. DO NOT smoke
near open fuel container. DO NOT fill fuel tank indoors or when engine is running. Allow engine to cool for at
least ten minutes before refilling. Make sure that fuel cap is tightened securely. Wipe off any spilled fuel before
starting engine.
Carrying loads affects the handling, stability and braking of the machine. Improper loads, excessive speed,
sharp turns, rough ground, loose or slippery surfaces and slopes can cause loss of control, sliding and/or
tip-over accidents. Extra caution is required whenever the machine is used to carry loads. Raising a loaded
Cargo Bed can affect stability of the machine resulting in tip-over. Read, Understand and Follow instructions
and warnings in this manual, in the Operator’s manual and on the machine, engine and attachments. Failure
to follow instructions may result in serious injury or death.
Remove ignition key when working around or under a raised cargo bed.
The operator and others must remain clear when raising or lowering the cargo bed.
BEFORE DUMPING, STOP machine completely. Set parking brake. Release tailgate latches. LOOK and SEE
behind and down for children and others before and while dumping.
DO NOT attempt to dump loads when on slopes.
DO NOT attempt to dump into ravines, ditches or steep drop offs.
DO NOT raise empty or loaded cargo bed when on slopes.
DO NOT drive machine with cargo bed in a raised position.
STEP 1: Pull outward on the cargo bed latch lever,
located on the left side of the vehicle inside the bed lift
handle, to release the cargo bed. Once released, raise
the cargo bed, using the prop rod to secure the bed in
the fully raised position.
STEP 2: Position the stationary mount of the actuator
assembly #7-2641 inside the mounting bracket on the
vehicle frame cross member, with the actuator motor
facing up. See Figure 1. Secure with one 1/2-13 x 3”
bolt #9-1821 and one 1/2-13 locknut #9-1922. Do not over
tighten.

STEP 3: Connect the actuator wire harness to the
machine wiring harness. See Figure 2.

STEP 4: With the tip of a flat-head screwdriver, remove
the plug covering the lift switch cutout in the control
console between the seats. See Figure 3.
FIGURE 3
STEP 5: Route the switch harness up through the
cutout. See Figure 4. NOTE: Removing the passenger
seat will allow easier access to the harness.
STEP 6: Plug the lift switch #1-1259 securely into the
terminal housing. See Figure 4. IMPORTANT: The tab
on the right rear of the terminal housing is designed to fit
into the matching hole in the right rear of the switch.
This safety feature prevents the switch from being
incorrectly installed.
FIGURE 4
STEP 7: Set the lift switch firmly into the cutout in the
control console. Also, apply the lift switch operation decal
#7-2687 as shown. See Figure 5. NOTE: Be sure to clean
the surface of the control console before applying the
decal.
FIGURE 5
STEP 8: Turn the vehicle’s key switch to the ‘RUN’
position, then move the lift switch into the ‘UP’ position.
The actuator rod should begin to extend.
IMPORTANT: Be sure the actuator rod is aimed up out
of the engine compartment. Carefully monitor the
operation of the actuator to avoid personal injury or
equipment damage.
Fully extend the actuator rod, then turn the vehicle’s key
switch to the ‘STOP’ position. Position the actuator rod
end inside the mounting bracket on the underside of the
cargo bed. Secure with one 1/2-13 x 3” bolt #9-1821
and one 1/2-13 nut #9-1922. Do not over tighten. See
Figure 6.
NOTE: The actuator rod should not reach the mounting
bracket with the cargo bed prop rod in the locked
position. With assistance, unlock the prop rod, and
carefully lower the bed until the actuator rod end is
properly aligned with the mounting bracket.

STEP 9: Remove the hardware securing the two striker
pin brackets to either side of the vehicle frame, and
remove the brackets. Also, remove both the upper hinge
bolt and the lower lock bolt from the prop rod, and
remove the prop rod from the vehicle. See Figure 8.
Store components for future use. IMPORTANT: Failure
to remove striker pin brackets and prop rod can result in
personal injury and/or equipment damage.
FIGURE 7
STEP 10: Check all connections and make sure
connectors are secure. Tighten all bolts and nuts, but do
not over tighten. Turn the vehicle’s key switch to the
“RUN” position. Move the lift switch to the “DOWN”
position, and the cargo bed should move down. Move
the lift switch to the “UP” position and the cargo bed
should move up. Move the switch “DOWN” and allow the
cargo bed to move down to its horizontal position. Turn
the ignition switch to the “STOP” position.
ASSEMBLY IS COMPLETE.
