Installation and Operating Instructions

Plug power cord into appropriate receptacle (type
L6-20P ). Check nameplate for correct voltage.
2.
Connect flexible water supply hose to fitting on
left side of unit (minimum 20 psi and .5 gpm water
supply required).
3.
Close drain valve on left side of unit,
4.
Place basket support rack in bottom of pan.
5.
Close hinged cover.
6.
Turn power switch to ON position. The red indicator
light will come on. The fill spout will automatically
fill unit with water to the correct operating level.
This takes approximately 5 minutes.
7.
Allow the Pasta Rethermalizer to preheat for
30 minutes. The white thermostat indicator light
will cycle off when water is at correct operating
temperature.
8.
Load one to three baskets with pasta and place in
preheated water. Press timer switch to energize cook
cycle. Yellow timer light will flash during cook
cycle. Alarm will sound at end of cook cycle. Press
timer switch to end cook cycle alarm. Remove pasta
baskets from water.
9.
water level will be automatically maintained while
unit is turned on.

DAILY CLEANING PROCEDURES
PC-1M Pasta Rethermalizer
1.
Place the power switch in the "OFF" position.
2.
Unplug the rethermalizer. Disconnect water supply hose.
3.
Open drain valve and drain water into appropriate container using attached
hose.
CAUTION: Equipment and water are hot.
Use breakfast cart to transport
the rethermalizer to sink area.
Use necessary precautions, such as gloves, to handle hot rethermalizer, or
let it cool before handling.
4.
Remove the portion baskets and basket support rack.
5.
Using a hot solution of McD All Purpose Concentrate (APC) from the sink
proportioner, and a warm solution of McD Sanitizer, wash and sanitize the
water pan

6.
Wash and sanitize portion baskets and basket support rack. Set aside to air
dry overnight.
CAUTION: Do not immerse rethermalizer in
water. Damage will occur if unit
is submerged.
7.
Store rethermalizer in designated area.
CHECK CALIBRATION AND DE-LIME WATER PAN MONTHLY. MORE FREQUENT DE-
LIMING MAY BE NECESSARY IF WATER SUPPLY HAS HIGH MINERAL CONTENT.

Wells Manufacturing Company provides the Past Rethermalizer and Full Size Marinator used in this
test program.
1.
MDMW-10 Marinator
DO -
Empty water from Marinator at the end of each day.
DO -
Thoroughly clean the Marinator daily, according to the
enclosed cleaning instructions.
DON'T -
Leave used water in Marinator overnight.

PC-1M Pasta Rethermalizer
DO -
Drain water from PC-1M at the end of each day.
DO -
Thoroughly clean the PC-1M daily, according to the
enclosed cleaning instructions.
DO -
Clean low water sensor daily. This is inside the pan
directly below the automatic refill spout.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE - PC-1M
WARNING: Inspection, testing and repair of electrical equipment should only be performed by
qualified service personnel. The unit should be unplugged when servicing, except when
electrical tests are required.
DANGER: Use extreme care during electrical circuit tests. Live circuits will be exposed

Attached are cleaning procedures, a brief trouble-shooting guide and a few Do's and Don'ts for the
Pasta Rethermalizer <PC-1M) and the Full Size Marinator (MDMW-10) These guide-lines will be
replaced by permanent manuals when available. Manuals will be sent to each store manager.
warranty on these units is one (1) year, parts and labor. The warranty is the same as all wells
products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects.
we are using a replacement program during the warranty period. If there is a functional problem, contact
the authorized service agency. The service company will replace your unit with either a new or rebuilt
unit, depending on available stock. All rebuilt units are from local pasta test stores and are completely
retested by the service agency. This program will reduce down-time and eliminate service repairs by
your store. However, the service company may elect to do minor adjustments in your store.

assist you if I am not available.
