Although the RemusShield finger touch immobilizer installs easy (DIY) and even people who are not technical minded will find that the kit is not
difficult to install, it is still an electronic device that affects engine operation and start, accordingly we strongly recommend having a certified
tech install this unit if you are still not technically inclined regarding this kind of wiring.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect the orange wire to the ignition-feed* +12V.
2. Connect the brown wire to the battery negative or engine frame.
3. Allocate which engine component you want to break, i.e. cranking motor, fuel pump, either engine sensor's signal wire**.
4. Cut the appropriate power cable of the electronic component selected and connect the RemusShield™'s two black wires.
inline with the two ends that just have been split. Find a hidden place for the sensor screws. Connect the black and white wire ends in
the ring terminal to the screws with the help of the nuts and washers provided in the package***.
5. Find a place for the head unit, service key, LED- and sound indicator****.
6. Connect the two male and female T-taps terminals of the service key. Leave the service key in normal mode. See picture.
7. Make sure the ignition key is switched off and finally connect the red cable to a constant battery +12V. Your immobilizer system is
alarmed, and the LED will be flashing.
NOTES
* Several engine components operate only when the ignition key is turned on. Use any ignition activated contact that is switched on and off
by the ignition key.
** Recommended ports to plug into, in order of relevance
Engine sensor or engine management power wire in case of fuel injected models
Fuel pump
Starter motor
The less typical, the more creative, and unique your choice is, the less the chances are that thieves can steal your vehicle.
Establish firm connections in order to avoid engine shutdown. Make sure that the wire you tapped into doesn't transmit more than a 10 Amp
constant current. Over that current rate you will need to install relays.
*** You can fix the screws in any distance but it is recommended to mount them close to each other. Minimum distance is 0.04" - 1 mm. Any
closer positions might cause incidental blocks caused by water drops or moisture.
**** Dual sided adhesive tape can be stuck on the beeper to lower noise level. See picture.

You may start the engine two different ways.
Scenario #1
1. Touch the sensor (short beep and LED shuts down)
2. Turn on the ignition key
3. You are now allowed to start the engine within 8 seconds. Engine will run as normally.
Scenario #2
1. Crank the engine
2. Touch the sensor within 20 seconds (beep and LED flash warns you that the engine block is retarded)
3. Engine will stop after 20 second lapsed
If for any reason you missed to unlock the immobilizer in the given timeframe, you need to wait another 10 seconds to be able to restart the
process unless the ignition key is turned off and on again. Since this occurrence reflects to unauthorized use, you will have less time to unlock
the system.
Service mode
It is highly recommended to activate service mode if your vehicle is taken to a wash, repair shop or wherever an unauthorized person can get
access to the location of your secret sensor. Don't divulge the location of your sensor to anyone you don't rely upon, just switch off the
RemusShield's service key. See switch positions and modes on the image below. In service mode the engine starts without touching the sensor as
normally, without the immobilizer.
In service mode the LED is flashing and a short beep sounds up after the engine starts, then the LED shuts down afterwards.
