Important Safety Instructions
Only connect the unit to an AC power supply. The voltage listed on the rating plate must coincide
with the voltage of your power supply.
Never leave the unit unattended during use.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Avoid danger of tripping and hanging down the electric cable.
Keep the electric cable away from hot surfaces and open flames or sharp edges.
Never touch the electric cable and plug with wet hands.
Never immerse the unit, electric cable or plug into water or other liquids. Danger to life through
electric shock!
Do not use the unit outdoor.
The unit is intended for household use only.
Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or after the unit malfunctions or is dropped
or damaged in any manner.
The damaged unit can only be repaired by a qualified specialist. Never attempt to repair any
damages by yourself.
Only use the unit on a heat-resistance surface. Never position the unit close to hot surfaces or
open flames.
High temperatures are present during operation. Only touch the handles on the unit.
The temperature regulator must not come into contact with the unit! Always pull out the plug
before removing the temperature regulator!

Before first use
Before using the unit for the first time, carefully clean the unit and cover.
Do not use any aggressive detergents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or sharp objects such
as knives or spatulas for cleaning the unit.
Avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
Always dry the unit thoroughly after cleaning it.
Assembling the glass lid
Screw and assemble the plastic vented knob to the glass lid.
Connecting the unit
1. Connect the temperature regulator to the base of unit. Make sure that the plug is connected
properly.
2. Set the temperature regulator to heat level "0".
3. Connect the plug to a socket.
ATTENTION:
Do not use a multiple outlet strip or extension cable.
Preparing food
1. Brush the multi-cooker with a little cooking oil.
2. Set the temperature regulator to the required heat level. The
control lamp will light up to show that the unit is ready for use (ON).
It takes approximately 5 -10 minutes to heat up the unit and the control lamp goes out. You can then
start cooking the food.
If the food is completely done, you can adjust the temperature to lower or “0” heat level.

Using the cover
Use the glass cover where possible when cooking all food types. The cover prevents smells from
escaping and reduces cooking time.
The lid knob of glass cover is designed with vents all the way round. It allows condensation from the
steam and the water and also prevents to build up the dirt and grease. It is necessary to unscrew and
disassemble the lid knob for easy cleaning.
NOTE:
The glass cover has a vent through which hot steam can escape!
Avoid contact with this escaping steam.
The cover can become extremely hot during operation therefore use oven gloves, etc. where
possible when removing the cover to avoid burns.
After use
Set the temperature regulator to heat level “0” and pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Allow the unit to cool down thoroughly before cleaning it.
Environmental Message
The crossed out wheel bin symbol on this appliance indicates that this appliance needs to be
disposed of in an environmentally friendly way when it becomes of no further use or has worn out.

defects in material and workmanship and will be useable and durable for a period of 12 (twelve)
months from the date of purchase and complies with any applicable standards set under the
Standards Act 1993 (Act No 29 of 1993).

assigned, transferred or handed to any other person.
2. Swan Appliances’ in its sole discretion can either repair or replace the defective appliance.
3. Should the defective appliance be situated further than 50 km from the nearest Swan Service
Centre or authorized dealer, then Swan Appliances shall be entitled to charge the consumer a
travelling charge for any distance further than 50km.
4. The appliances has been designed and manufactured for normal domestic use only and the
warranty will not be valid if it was not used for domestic purposes only.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY:
1. Swan Appliances has no liability or responsibility in respect of any second hand goods;
2. Swan Appliances has no liability to any subsequent purchasers ;
3. Swan Appliances has no liability if the appliance is defective due to any damage, loss due to the
gross negligence of the consumer or due to the faulty installation, accidental damages, incorrect
usage, misuse or abuse or failure to follow the operational instruction by the Consumer;
4. Swan Appliances has no liability of the appliance is damaged or destroyed as a result of any
Acts of God;
5. Swan Appliances has no liability and this warrant is not valid if the appliance is dismantled or
any repairs was done to the appliance or any other parts were inserted;
6. Swan Appliances has no liability if the serial number of the appliances has been removed;
7. Swan Appliances has no liability and will not be responsible to replace any light bulbs, fuses,
glass plates or bowls, remote controls, bags, burners or any other item which Swan Appliance in
its sole discretion determines that the life of such item depends on the amount of use and care
taken in respect of such item;
8. Swan Appliances has no liability of any nature and will also not be responsible for any costs,
should no fault have been found regarding the appliance.
