KYOCERA Net Manager 6.0 is a server-based web application that manages your print devices and user policies to provide secure printing and copying and to provide accounting of print-related expenses. Efficient use of your printing resources is provided by the Print&Follow function which allows users to securely print to any printer managed by KYOCERA Net Manager.

With KYOCERA Net Manager 6.0, you can:

  • Authenticate: Access the devices in one step by PIN, ID card or name/password or in a two-step authentication combination such as ID-Card and PIN

What is KYOCERA Net Manager?
KYOCERA Net Manager is a server-based web application that manages your
print devices and user policies to provide secure printing and copying and to
provide accounting of print-related expenses. Efficient use of your printing
resources is provided by the Print&Follow function which allows users to

New Report Features
In KNM version 6.0, you can create report settings based on 44 default report
types and generate reports based on those settings.
In addition to the 44 standard templates, you can also add customized report
types where you can set the permissions for who can run the report.
You can customize a report's appearance. Reports that display as charts have
options for chart type. Once generated, any report can be viewed again or
exported anytime.
Customization features include:

Ability to create a list of different output formats and select which one to use
Setting Report Type

Go to KYOCERA > Settings > Reports.

Select a report type and click Edit.

In Permission for running the report, select who can run the report and click
OK.

Adding Customized Report Types

Go to KYOCERA > Settings > Reports.

Click +Add.

Click Choose File and browse to the location of the .xml custom report file.

In the Permission for running the report field, select who can run the report
and click OK.
Creating Reports

Go to KYOCERA > Reports.

Click +Add and select +New Report.

In Type, select a template type and in Folder select the storage location for the
report. Click OK.

Configure the report information in the General tab. Name is required. Under
Sharing set who can Run or Edit the report. Click Schedule to set a time for
running the report.

Select the Design tab to configure settings such as Orientation and Filters
and parameters. The following options are available:
In the Options section, you can select the orientation of the report and
choose how to sort the data
In the Filters and parameters section, you can set filtering options and
parameters
To change design elements for the table, select a table row and click Edit
In the Summary column, choose whether to display summary data in the
table; choices are None, Sum or Average
To add display rows to the table, click +Add . You can also delete or reorder
rows
If the report allows charts, you can select the type of chart to display. Both
Table and Chart sections of the Design tab have an On/Off switch to choose
whether to display them or not

Click Save to save the report settings.

Click Run to generate a preview of the report.

Generating a Report

Go to KYOCERA > Reports.

From the list of saved reports, select the report you want to generate and click
Run.
The report is automatically saved.
Viewing a Saved Report

Go to KYOCERA > Reports and select a report from the list.

From the list of saved reports, select a report run history that you want to view
and click Open.
Adding a Reports Folder

Go to KYOCERA > Reports.

Click +Add and select +New Folder.

Enter a folder name and location, and click OK.
Duplex and Simplex Counters Support
In KNM 6.0, you can view duplex/simplex counters by adding them to your
report from the Design tab. Some printing devices will not display counters.
These counters can be displayed in the following report types:

Microsoft SQL Server Support for the Master Server
In KNM 6.0, Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) can be used as the Master Server
database (DB). The supported versions are: MS SQL 2012, MS SQL 2014, MS
SQL 2016, SQL Server 2012 Express, SQL Server 2014 Express, and SQL
Server 2016 Express.
The installer for the Master Server supporting MS SQL is different from the
installer for Firebird. There are also the following limitations:

Master Server version 5.10 or older cannot be upgraded to the Master Server
supporting MS SQL
Data cannot be transferred from Firebird to MS SQL
The access ports for the web interface are:

Connecting to MS SQL

Start SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Go to SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocols for XXXX. (XXXX
stands for the name of the database. The example shows SQLEXPRESS.)

Set the Status of TCP/IP to Enabled.

Right-click TCP/IP and open Properties.

In the IP Addresses tab, ensure that '1433' is entered in all of the TCP Port IP
addresses.

Go to SQL Server Services and restart SQL Server XXXX. (XXXX stands for
the name of the database.)

Start KYOCERA Net Manager Easy Config.

Go to Database > Connection settings and click Change.

Enter the database information and click Next.

If a new database has been entered in the database connection information,
you will be asked to confirm database creation. Click Yes.

In the Enter database creation credentials screen, re-enter the Username
and Password and click Next.

If the CLR option is not enabled, it will need to be enabled on the server.
Contact Kyocera support for this procedure.

After database registration is complete, click Finish.
User credit now managed by MS SQL Master Server
Formerly, with the Firebird Master Server, each site server managed user
credit. This meant a user could have different credit on different site servers.
With KNM 6.0, the MS SQL Master Server manages the user credit and shares
it with the site servers, so that the credit for a user is the same on all site
servers. You still have the option to allow the user to have different credit on
different site servers. You can view the credit balance of the user in the Master
Server.

Under Credit, set Enabled to ON and click Save.

Under Users and Groups, click +Add item and add users/groups to be
synchronized.

Set Type to Internal Account.
Setting a Site Server

Go to KYOCERA > Settings > Server Type & Cloud.

Under Site server, type a port number in the Port field, and click Save. Type
'8083' if secure connection is off, and '8093' if secure connection is on.

Go to KYOCERA > Settings > Credit.

Under Credit, set Enabled to ON, and click Save.

Under Users and Groups, click +Add item, and add users/groups to be
synchronized.

Set Type to External Account and set Payment Provider to Master Server
Account.

Easy Scan to Box.com
Box.com is supported as a destination for cloud storage.

Create an Easy Scan terminal action and name it Easy Scan - Box.com.

Under General, choose Cloud Storage as the Type. Under Parameters,
choose Box.com as the Type.

Log in to KNM as a user and click Connect next to Box.com.

Click Log in to the cloud storage and enter the user credential for Box.com.
Click Authorize.

Copy the access code and paste in the Code field. Click OK.
The status for Box.com is changed to Connected.

Log in to Embedded (HyPAS) Terminal with the user you logged in with on
KNM and click Easy Scan - Box.com.

Easy Fax - Code Book and External Code Book Support
Easy Fax now allows the selection of destinations from a contact list in
Embedded (HyPAS) Terminal by use of a Code Book or External Code Book.
Adding a Code Book to Easy Fax

Create a code book that will be used by Easy Fax.

Go to KYOCERA > Settings > Terminal Actions.
