Instructions

IMPORTANT

THIS INSTRUCTION IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ADEQUATE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IN SAFE

PROCEDURES FOR THIS TYPE OF EQUIPMENT. THE EQUIPMENT SHOULD ONLY BE INSTALLED BY

THOSE PERSONNEL FAMILIAR WITH GOOD SAFETY PRACTICES.

BEFORE STARTING WORK: READ THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION SHEET. SYSTEM

MUST BE DE-ENERGIZED BEFORE INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT PROBE.

1. Remove existing probe taking care not to damage the interface of the elbow.

2. Insert the replacement probe’s threaded end into the elbow connector eye. Tighten as far as possible by hand.

3. Tighten probe using metal wire wrench supplied until wrench bends. Discard bent wrench after tightening is completed.

4. Clean off loadbreak elbow and bushing interface with clean cloth and apply a new coating of grease on both interfaces.

5. Install loadbreak elbow onto the bushing using standard operating procedures.
