1. Determine mounting height on door (Recommend 10” to 12” above the interior lever).
2. Place the latch on the frame so the bracket is offset from the frame 1/16 (See Figure 2).
3. Once the latch is in the desired position on the frame face, mark (3) holes for drilling (See Figure 1).
4. Center punch and drill (3) 5/32” pilot holes.
5. Install (3) sheet metal screws to secure the device.
6. Check to make sure the swing arm rotates to the closed position when the door swings completely closed. Also
verify that the door will open without issue when the swing arm is in the closed position.
Note: Frame reinforcement is recommended. When installing on a decorative snap-on frame, use Hager 277F reinforcement bracket.
