8. Pairing Signia Silk Charge&Go IX to your smartphone
For use with Signia App
1. Turn hearing aids off by placing them in the charger.
2. Open Signia App in the smartphone.
3. Select Manual option.
4. Select No when asked Is your hearing aid a Run model?
5. Turn hearing aids back on, wait 6 seconds, and select Connect now.
6. A confirmation will have played in the hearing aids,
select Yes if heard. Select No if not.
7. Select No when asked Do your hearing aids support
Directional hearing?
8. Select number of hearing programs.
9. Indicate if hearing aids have a tinnitus program.
10. Select Let’s go! to start using Signia App.

3. Charging Your Hearing Aids
1. To charge your hearing aids, the charger must either be
turned on or plugged in.
2. Place your hearing aids into the charger as shown in the picture.
• Right hearing aid into the charging cup “R”
• Le hearing aid into the charging cup “L”
3. Close the charger’s lid.
4. The hearing aids are automatically turned off and begin charging.
The charging status is shown for 7 seconds.
5. A full charging cycle takes about 4 hours. Aer 30 minutes, it is possible to use your
hearing aids for up to 6 hours.
6. We recommend charging your hearing aids overnight so you can be sure to start your day
with fully-charged hearing aids.
4. Turning Your Hearing Aids On
Ensure the charger is turned on.
Turning on: Remove the hearing aids from the charger. The startup melody is played in your
hearing aids. The default volume and hearing program are set.
Turning off: Place the hearing aids in the charger.
5. Inserting Your Hearing Aids
Your hearing aids have been fine-tuned for your right and le ear. The labeling
and color on the hearing aid indicates the side.
• R = right ear
• L = le ear
Inserting the hearing aid
1. Hold the hearing aid with the removal cord
toward the ground/bottom and the arrow on the hearing aid
points upwards.
2. Carefully push the hearing aid into the ear canal.
3. Twist it slightly until it sits well in the ear.
4. Open and close your mouth to avoid accumulation of air in the ear canal.
Removing the Hearing Aid
1. Push lightly on the back of your ear to loosen the hearing aids.
2. Remove the hearing aid by pulling the removal cord towards
the back of your head.
7. Replacing Your Wax Protection
WaxGuard 3.0 Exchange
Your hearing aid has wax protection to prevent wax from getting into
the electronics. The wax protection will need to be changed on a regular
basis.
1. Pull Application Stick out of package.
2. Insert the black side of the application stick into the end of the white
end of the hearing aid.
3. Pull the application stick straight out of the hearing aid
(white tip should be on the stick).
4. Flip the stick around.
5. Insert the application stick into the end of the hearing aid again.
6. Pull the application stick out of the hearing aid (white tip should remain
in the hearing aid).

2. User Controls & Hearing Aid Adjustments
Your Hearing Care Provider has programed your hearing aids to your specific hearing loss
and needs.
The hearing aids automatically adjust the volume and sound to your unique listening situation.
If you prefer, the Signia App can change volume, programs and make other adjustments to
your hearing aids. See the back of this insert for details on the Signia App.
The miniPocket remote control can adjust volume & programs of your hearing aids. Contact
your hearing care provider for details.
Low power indication
You will hear an alert signal to indicate the battery is running low. The signal will be repeated
every 20 minutes. Depending on the usage of your hearing aids, you have approximately 1.5
hours to use your hearing aids before they stop working and need to be recharged.
6. Hearing Aid Maintenance And Care
Cleaning Hearing Aids
Your hearing aids have a protective coating. However, if not cleaned
regularly, you may damage the hearing aids or cause personal injury.
• Clean your hearing aids daily with a so, dry tissue.
• If your hearing aids have a wax protection, be careful to not damage
it while cleaning your hearing aids.
• Never use running water or immerse the hearing aids in water.
• Never apply pressure while cleaning.
• Do not use alcoholic solvent on the charging contacts.
• It is recommended to exchange standard ear pieces approximately every 3 months or
sooner if you notice any cracks or other changes.
• To avoid corrosion, use a so and dry tissue to wipe off sweat or liquid from the charging
contacts of hearing aids before inserting them into the charger.
• Ask your Hearing Care Provider for recommended cleaning products, special care sets,
or more information on how to keep your hearing aids in good condition.
Cleaning Charger
• Disconnect the charger from the power supply.
• Clean the charger with a so, dry tissue.
• Never use running water or immerse the charger in water.
• Do not sterilize or disinfect the charger.
Drying
• Ask your Hearing Care Provider for recommended drying products and for individual
instructions on when to dry your hearing aids.
Storage
• Short-term storage (up to several days):
• Turn off your hearing aids by placing them in the charger.
• If the charger is not turned on when you place the hearing aids in the charger,
the hearing aids are not turned off.
• If the hearing aids are turned off via a remote control or the Signia App,
the hearing aids are in a standby-mode and not turned completely off.
Storage continued
• Long-term storage (weeks, months, …):
• Fully charge your hearing aids and leave them in the charger with the lid closed.
• Once the hearing aids are fully charged, the charger and the hearing aids are
automatically turned off.
• We recommend storing the hearing aids with drying products
recommended by your Hearing Care Professional.
• We recommend recharging your hearing aids every 3 months
to avoid damage to the power cell.

Charging status
The LED next to a hearing aid indicates the charging status of the hearing aid. The hearing aid
charging status is only displayed immediately aer putting the hearing aids in the charger,
when you briefly press the button or when you open the lid. The front LED indicates the
charging status of the charger and its internal battery.
